Fits Huawei MediaPad, MediaPad 7 Lite, S7-301U, and 12 other variants; replaces OEM part HB3G1H.
This 3.7V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity on tablets that no longer hold sufficient power.
Connector seats into the factory slot with standard polarity; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion during reinstall.
We ran this pack through a full discharge-to-shutdown cycle on MediaPad hardware; the BMS accepted the cell without fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage display that appears after a swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB3G1H)

This is a 3.7V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Huawei MediaPad and MediaPad 7 Lite tablet range, including the S7-301U. It slots into models that take the OEM part HB3G1H. If your original cell no longer holds charge after extended use, this is the direct replacement.

  • MediaPad 7 Lite compatibility: The S7-301U and related MediaPad variants share the same 3.7V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake. The HB3G1H part number covers the full group, so one cell fits across the listed models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a MediaPad S7-301U unit. The tablet's charge IC accepted the cell without fault flags, and the BMS communicated state-of-charge data correctly to the OS throughout testing.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installing this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The MediaPad's fuel gauge IC calibrates against the new cell during this cycle and corrects the inaccurate percentage readings that typically appear immediately after a swap.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% after battery replacement

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve. The MediaPad combines display backlight and WiFi radio draws under load, which creates a voltage dip the gauge misreads as a critical low. The tablet triggers a protective shutdown even though usable capacity remains. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the reference point — after that, shutdowns should track correctly at or below 5%.

Fast charging unavailable after battery swap on MediaPad 7 Lite

The MediaPad's charge controller uses a handshake with the charger during the first accepted charge cycle to enable higher-rate charging. A new cell can interrupt this negotiation on the first connection. Plug the tablet into the original Huawei charger — not a generic USB adapter — and let it complete one full charge without disconnecting. After that cycle completes to 100%, the charge IC re-establishes the protocol and fast charge becomes available again.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MediaPad shows 60% battery then jumps to 20% with no warning — is the new battery faulty?

It isn't faulty. The fuel gauge IC inside the MediaPad calibrated its voltage curve against the old, degraded cell, so it misreads the new cell's charge state and reports sudden drops. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging mid-cycle. That single cycle resets the gauge reference against the new cell's actual voltage curve, and the percentage display stabilises.

The MediaPad feels warm near the charge port during the first few charges after swapping the battery — is something wrong?

Warmth during the first few charges is normal. The charge IC on a new Li-Polymer cell draws slightly more current as it establishes its charge profile against fresh chemistry. Surface temperature typically settles to the same level as the original battery after two or three complete cycles. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or shows a charge error icon, stop and check the connector seating — but mild warmth alone is not a fault.

Battery percentage drops noticeably faster from 100% than it did when the tablet was new — what causes that after a swap?

This is fuel gauge drift. The MediaPad's gauge IC hasn't yet built an accurate full-scale reference for the replacement cell, so early percentage steps appear larger than they actually are in terms of capacity consumed. Discharge the tablet fully until it shuts itself off, then charge it in one uninterrupted session to 100%. After completing that calibration cycle, the per-percentage steps even out and reflect the cell's true 4000mAh capacity accurately.
