Fits T-Mobile Springboard tablet, replaces OEM battery HB3G1H.
This 3.7V 4000mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge capacity to aged Springboard packs.
Connector seats flat into the internal battery slot with standard locking tab engagement.
We bench-tested against a stock unit; BMS accepted charge immediately with no fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage display that appears after a swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile Springboard — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB3G1H)

This is a 3.7V, 4000mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the T-Mobile Springboard tablet. It uses OEM part number HB3G1H and fits directly into the Springboard's battery bay. If your Springboard won't hold a charge or powers off unexpectedly, this is the cell to replace.

  • Springboard platform fit: The HB3G1H cell shares the same 3.7V nominal rail, physical footprint (125.70 × 69.20 × 3.90mm), and connector orientation as the original Springboard battery. The BMS handshake between the charge IC and this cell matches what the tablet's firmware expects during a charge cycle.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the Springboard platform. The charge IC accepted the cell without fault flags, and the BMS held cutoff voltage correctly at the low end of the discharge curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installing this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage readings that commonly appear after a battery swap on this tablet.

Springboard shutting down at 15–25% remaining

The Springboard draws a combined load from the display backlight and Wi-Fi radio simultaneously. On a degraded or newly installed cell, this combined draw causes a voltage cliff — the pack voltage drops sharply under load even though the reported percentage looks reasonable. The fuel gauge IC reads a resting voltage, not a loaded voltage, so the shutdown catches users off guard. One full discharge-and-charge cycle lets the gauge recalibrate against the actual loaded curve of the new cell.

Fast charging not available after battery replacement

Some Springboard users report that fast charge stops working after a battery swap. The charge IC on this tablet completes a USB negotiation handshake during the first accepted charge cycle — if that cycle is interrupted, the IC may default to standard charge rates. Plug into the original Springboard charger and allow the first post-swap charge to complete fully without interruption. After that cycle finishes, fast charge availability typically restores to normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Springboard shows 40% battery but shuts off immediately under load — is the new battery faulty?

It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC calibrated itself to the old, degraded cell and is now reading the new cell incorrectly. Under combined display and Wi-Fi load, the pack voltage drops faster than the gauge expects, triggering a protective shutdown. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that cycle the gauge re-anchors to the new cell's actual voltage curve.

The battery percentage is jumping around after I replaced the HB3G1H — it showed 80%, then dropped to 55% in two minutes without me doing anything.

This is fuel gauge drift — the charge IC's coulomb counter is still calibrated to the capacity profile of the original cell. The new 4000mAh cell has a different discharge curve, so the reported percentage skips rather than stepping down smoothly. One complete discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted full charge resets the calibration. After that cycle, percentage reporting stabilises.

The Springboard feels warm near the battery area while charging — should I stop charging it?

Warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new lithium-polymer cell is normal. The charge IC runs a conditioning taper phase on a new cell that generates mild heat as it negotiates the correct charge current. We measured surface temperatures on the bench and they stayed within safe operating range throughout. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, disconnect and allow it to cool, then verify you are using the correct Springboard charger rated at the proper voltage.
