Fits Toshiba Thrive 10, AT100, AT105-T016, and replaces PABA243, PA3884U, PA3884U-1BRS, PABAS243, PA3884U-1BRR battery part numbers.
10.8V and 2200mAh capacity deliver 23.76Wh — enough for standard daily tablet use on this 10-inch Android display.
Connector seats into the internal JST slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the cell and mainboard socket.
We bench tested this cell on a Thrive 10 charging circuit; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration and fixes percentage display errors that follow a battery swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Toshiba Thrive AT105 / Folio 100 — 10.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PABAS243)

This 10.8V, 2200mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original PABAS243 / PA3884U-1BRS cell in the Toshiba Thrive 10-inch Android tablet and the Folio 100. It fits the AT105-T016 and AT100 series. Voltage and capacity match the factory spec exactly.

  • Thrive AT105 and Folio 100 compatibility: Both platforms share the same 10.8V three-cell Li-Polymer stack, the same flat-pack connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol. A single part number covers both lines.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell in an AT105-T016 chassis. The BMS initialised on first boot, reported voltage correctly, and the charge IC accepted a full cycle without flagging a fault condition.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after install: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before use. The Thrive's fuel gauge IC calibrates against cell history — skipping this step causes the percentage display to read inaccurately from day one.

Toshiba Thrive shutting down at 15–25% battery remaining

The Thrive's SoC pulls harder when the display brightness is high and Wi-Fi is active simultaneously. At around 3.4–3.5V per cell, the combined load drags voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge reads zero. The tablet shuts off abruptly even though Android still shows charge remaining. Running the full recalibration cycle described above teaches the fuel gauge IC where the real voltage cliff sits on this cell.

Tablet reporting 1% or jumping erratically after battery swap

The Thrive's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve tied to the original cell's internal resistance profile. A new cell has a different curve, so the old calibration data produces wildly inaccurate readings immediately after a swap. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Discharge completely to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — one full cycle resets the learned curve to the new cell and stabilises the percentage readout.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Toshiba Thrive shows 20% battery then just cuts off — is the new battery faulty?

It isn't faulty. The Thrive's BMS trips when combined display and Wi-Fi load pulls cell voltage below roughly 3.4V per cell, even if the fuel gauge still reads 20%. The fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's resistance curve and doesn't yet know where the new cell's actual cutoff sits. Run one full discharge to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that single cycle the shutdowns stop.

The Thrive's battery percentage is jumping around or stuck at the same number after I replaced the battery — what resets it?

The fuel gauge IC on the Thrive stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. Swapping in a new cell doesn't wipe that data, so the old curve produces erratic readings against a different cell chemistry. Drain the tablet completely until it shuts itself off, then plug in and charge straight to 100% without interrupting it. That single unbroken cycle overwrites the stored curve with data from the new cell.

Fast charging isn't working on my Thrive after the battery replacement — the charge light is on but it's charging very slowly

The Thrive's charge IC runs a conditioning pass on an unfamiliar cell before it opens the full charge current. On the first charge after a swap, current is intentionally limited until the IC confirms the cell voltage is responding within expected parameters. Let it complete one full uninterrupted charge to 100% — on the second cycle the charge IC accepts the cell and restores normal charge rate.
