Fits Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (GT-P8110) replacing OEM battery SP3496A8H.
Outputs 3.7V at 8000mAh (29.6Wh) — supplies the display and processor throughout the tablet's daily runtime.
Connector seats flat against the motherboard with adhesive strip securing it to the case interior.
We ran discharge cycles on a stock GT-P8110 — the BMS held voltage curve stable through WiFi and standby loads without early cutoff.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% to recalibrate the fuel gauge IC against the new cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 GT-P8110 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (SP3496A8H)

This 3.7V, 8000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the SP3496A8H cell in the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. It fits the GT-P8110 and GTP8110-HA32ARB variants. The flat 233 × 105 × 3.50mm pouch format matches the original cell's physical footprint inside the chassis.

  • GT-P8110 and GTP8110-HA32ARB fit: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One cell covers both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge on the GT-P8110. The BMS accepted the charge cycle, voltage held within spec under combined display and Wi-Fi load, and protection circuitry tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell's actual capacity curve and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a swap.

Why the GT-P8110 shuts down at 15–25% remaining after a battery swap

The Galaxy Tab 7.7's fuel gauge IC builds a capacity model from data on the old, degraded cell. After fitting a new battery, that model no longer matches the new cell's voltage-to-charge curve. The IC interprets a healthy voltage drop under display and Wi-Fi load as a near-empty cell and triggers shutdown early. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to rebuild its curve against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage reporting and cutoff behaviour return to normal.

Fast charging not available after fitting a replacement battery

The GT-P8110's charge controller uses a handshake with the battery's protection circuit during the first accepted charge cycle to confirm cell parameters before enabling higher charge rates. Until that first full cycle completes, the controller defaults to standard charge current as a precaution. Plug the tablet into the original Samsung charger and let it run from low charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the controller clears the flag and full charge rate resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My GT-P8110 shows 40% battery then suddenly dies — did I get a faulty replacement?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the GT-P8110 is still calibrated to the old, degraded battery and misreads the new cell's voltage curve, triggering a false low-battery shutdown. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device during charging. That single cycle resets the IC's capacity model against the new cell. Shutdowns at false percentages stop after that.

The battery percentage on my GT-P8110 is jumping around — goes from 60% to 80% or drops 20% in minutes after the swap.

Erratic percentage readings after a swap come from the fuel gauge IC using stale calibration data built on the worn-out original cell. The new cell's discharge curve is different, so the IC loses position and jumps. Discharge the tablet fully to automatic shutoff, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session. The IC rebuilds its curve from scratch against the new cell, and percentage display stabilises from that point.

The GT-P8110 feels warm near the charging port while the new battery charges — is something wrong?

Warmth near the charge IC and battery bay during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is normal. The charge controller runs a slightly elevated current profile while it characterises the new cell's internal resistance, which generates more heat than a routine top-up on a familiar cell. Temperature should stay well below uncomfortable levels. If the back of the tablet becomes hot to the touch or charging stops unexpectedly, disconnect and check the connector seating — a misaligned connector increases contact resistance and heat.
