Fits Visual Land Prestige Elite 9Q 9" tablet; replaces OEM battery PL2784120.
3.7V, 3300mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 12.21Wh to sustain display and processor loads.
Connector slots vertically into the battery bay with a single retention tab lock.
We bench-tested the new BMS against the ME-9Q motherboard; voltage ramp was clean, no cutoff errors.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Visual Land Prestige Elite 9Q — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL2784120)

This 3.7V, 3300mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Visual Land Prestige Elite 9Q 9" (ME-9Q) Android tablet. It fits directly into the existing battery bay and connects to the same board-mounted connector. Use the OEM part number PL2784120 to confirm fitment before ordering.

  • Prestige Elite 9Q and ME-9Q compatibility: Both model designations reference the same 9-inch hardware platform. The mainboard, charge IC, and connector orientation are identical across these variants, so one cell covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the 9Q mainboard and confirmed the charge IC accepted the new cell without fault codes. The BMS reported normal voltage curves across the full state-of-charge range.
  • Post-swap fuel gauge reset: After installation, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. This gives the fuel gauge IC a full reference cycle against the new cell and corrects the inaccurate percentage readings that typically appear after a battery swap.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery swap

When the display and Wi-Fi radio run simultaneously, combined current draw causes a sharper voltage drop than the fuel gauge IC expects at that reported state of charge. The fuel gauge was calibrated to the old, degraded cell and its voltage curve no longer matches the new one. This mismatch makes the IC interpret a mid-range voltage as critically low, triggering an emergency shutoff. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — this resets the reference points and the shutoffs stop occurring above roughly 10%.

Android showing wrong battery percentage after replacement

The fuel gauge IC stores learned capacity data from the previous cell in non-volatile memory. When a new cell goes in, that stored data is still active and produces percentage readings that jump, stall, or never reach 100%. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration mismatch between old learned data and the new cell's actual voltage curve. Clear it by letting the tablet discharge fully to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 4.2V (100%) before switching it back on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my Prestige Elite 9Q — why?

The charge IC on the 9Q needs to complete at least one full accepted charge cycle before it re-negotiates higher charge rates with the USB adapter. On a freshly swapped cell, the IC defaults to a conservative current limit until it has a confirmed full cycle on record. Plug in using the original charger and let it charge uninterrupted from low to 100% without any USB-PD or fast-charge adapter — that first complete cycle re-enables the higher rate on subsequent charges.

My 9Q tablet feels warm near the battery area while charging after the swap — is that normal?

Some warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is expected. The charge IC runs a conditioning profile on an unfamiliar cell, which draws slightly more current than steady-state charging and generates modest heat. If the tablet becomes hot to the touch or shows a temperature warning on screen, disconnect and let it cool before resuming. Gentle warmth with no on-screen warning is not a fault.

The battery percentage on my Prestige Elite 9Q drops faster from 100% than I expect — what's happening?

This is fuel gauge drift — the IC is still using capacity data learned from the old, degraded cell to estimate percentage on the new one. Because the old cell had lower real capacity, the IC burns through percentage faster at the top of the charge curve than the new cell actually warrants. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by a complete uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the IC to relearn the new cell's capacity, and the drop rate normalises after that.
