Fits AEG CX7230 and CX72HO2 cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part 6.01.52.06-0.
14.4V lithium-ion delivers 2500mAh capacity for sustained motor power during floor and carpet cleaning.
Battery slides into the handheld vacuum handle with a sliding latch connector — seat firmly until it clicks.
We bench-tested this cell in the CX7230 platform; BMS accepted the handshake on first insertion without fault codes.
Remove this battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge — continuous dock trickle charge degrades capacity significantly faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AEG CX7230 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (6.01.52.06-0)

This is a 14.4V, 2500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the AEG CX7230 and CX72HO2 cordless vacuum cleaners. It fits the handheld motor assembly directly, restoring full suction power when the original cell has lost capacity. Voltage and connector match the OEM spec for the CX7230 platform.

  • CX7230 platform compatibility: The CX7230, CX72HO2, and AG 3103 series share the same 14.4V battery rail and connector pinout. The BMS on these vacuums uses the same handshake protocol, so one cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the CX7230 motor under load — including simulated carpet resistance — and logged BMS behaviour across full discharge cycles. The protection circuit handled sustained draw without nuisance trips.
  • Dock charging on the CX7230: Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge from the dock causes capacity fade significantly faster than charging only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the battery can sustain at its current state of charge — voltage sags under load before the cell is actually depleted. A partially blocked filter makes this worse because the motor works harder against restricted airflow, pulling more amps from the pack. The BMS reads the voltage drop as a near-empty cell and throttles output. Clean the filter first, then check whether the symptom persists on a fresh charge cycle.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, clogged nozzle, or sustained carpet contact — the motor draws a spike of current the BMS interprets as a fault condition and shuts the cell down temporarily. After a few seconds the BMS resets and power returns. Clear the filter and check the nozzle path for blockages, then confirm the symptom does not repeat at 14.4V under normal operating load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AEG CX7230 runs for a short time and then suction drops off — is that a battery fault or something else?

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which pulls the cell voltage down faster than normal and mimics a weak battery. Clean the filter and nozzle path first. If suction stays consistent on a full charge after that, the filter was the cause. If the cell still sags early under light load, the battery cell itself has degraded and needs replacement.

The motor on my CX72HO2 keeps cutting out and restarting every few seconds — what's happening?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip cycling on and off — the protection circuit is seeing a current spike, shutting the cell down, resetting, and repeating. It almost always means airflow is restricted somewhere in the nozzle or filter, forcing the motor into a high-draw state. Clear any blockage in the filter, hose, and nozzle, then run a full clean cycle. If the cutout stops, the BMS was responding correctly; if it continues on a clear airpath, measure cell voltage at rest — it should read at or above 14.4V when fully charged.

My replacement battery for the CX7230 isn't charging on the dock — the charger light just blinks and stops.

A blinking charger light that stops usually means the charger is not getting the expected BMS handshake from the new cell. This can happen if the cell arrived deeply discharged — below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage. Remove the battery from the dock, wait two minutes, and reseat it firmly. If the charger still rejects it, use a compatible Li-ion charger set to 14.4V to bring the cell voltage above 12V, then return it to the dock — the AEG charger should accept it from that point.
