Fits Black&Decker KC 360H cordless handheld vacuum; replaces OEM battery for this model.
3.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH cell delivers consistent voltage throughout discharge cycle for sustained motor performance.
Connector seats into the vacuum's charging dock with positive and negative terminals aligned vertically.
We bench-tested this Ni-MH pack across three full charge cycles; BMS accepted voltage ramp without cutoff or thermal drift.
Remove the battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge — continuous dock charging accelerates capacity fade in Ni-MH cells.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Black&Decker KC 360H — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Black&Decker KC 360H cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. It slots into the KC 360H and restores power to the vacuum's motor when the original cell has degraded or stopped holding charge. Voltage and capacity match the factory specification exactly.

  • KC 360H motor voltage rail: The KC 360H runs a direct-drive motor at 3.6V. A cell that drops below this rail under load causes the motor to slow before the indicator signals low — this cell maintains the voltage the motor needs through the working charge cycle.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through repeated discharge-charge sequences on the KC 360H platform. The BMS handled charge termination cleanly, and the motor drew current within expected range across a clean filter and a partially restricted one.
  • Dock charging on the KC 360H: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous dock charging on Ni-MH cells causes capacity fade faster than normal cycling. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

On the KC 360H, suction can drop noticeably while the battery indicator still shows charge remaining. This happens because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which pulls the cell voltage down under load faster than the indicator tracks. The indicator reads resting voltage — not voltage under motor load. Clear the filter and check the dust container before blaming the battery.

Motor cutting out mid-use and then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead cell. When suction is sustained against a blockage or a heavily clogged filter, the motor current spikes past the BMS threshold and the circuit opens to protect the cell. The BMS resets after a brief cool-down, which is why the vacuum comes back on its own. Remove the blockage, clean the filter, and confirm the cell resting voltage reads at or above 3.6V before recharging.

Frequently Asked Questions

My KC 360H has a new battery in it but the charger light never comes on — what's wrong?

The KC 360H charger uses voltage detection to confirm a cell is present before initiating charge. If the replacement cell arrived deeply discharged — below the charger's detection threshold — the charger won't start. Connect the battery and leave it on the dock for 20–30 minutes anyway; some chargers will trickle until the cell reaches the detection threshold. If the light still doesn't trigger, measure the cell terminals — you're looking for at least 3.0V resting before the charger will recognise it.

The vacuum runs fine but suction feels weaker than it used to — filter looks clean, battery is new. What causes this?

On the KC 360H, suction loss with a clean filter and a charged battery usually points to a partial blockage in the nozzle or the air path between the nozzle and the dust container. Even a small restriction makes the motor work harder, raises current draw, and drops the effective suction pressure at the head. Remove the nozzle, check the inlet port, and clear any debris compacted at the bend. Suction should recover immediately once airflow is unobstructed.

The battery on my KC 360H faded within a few weeks of replacing it — it charges but barely runs the motor now. What happened?

Ni-MH cells in dock-charged vacuums degrade fast when left on continuous charge. The KC 360H dock doesn't cut off cleanly after a full charge — it continues to trickle, and that sustained low current accelerates capacity fade in Ni-MH chemistry. Going forward, charge the vacuum fully, then pull it off the dock and store it off-charge. If the cell has already faded, run it through two full discharge-to-full-charge cycles — Ni-MH can partially recover lost capacity after conditioning cycles.
