Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CleanMate S460 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 11.1V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery fits the CleanMate S460 robotic vacuum cleaner. It replaces the original cell when capacity has dropped and the unit no longer completes a full cleaning cycle. Voltage and physical dimensions match the S460 battery bay exactly — 70.00 x 36.30 x 35.20mm.
- S460 platform fit: The S460 runs a single 11.1V Li-ion pack to drive both the motor and onboard navigation. This cell meets that voltage rail and connector spec, so the BMS handshake initialises on boot without error codes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge under motor load. The BMS held cutoff thresholds correctly at both the high and low voltage limits — no unexpected trips during sustained suction draw.
- Dock charging habit on the S460: Do not leave the S460 sitting on the dock permanently between uses. Continuous trickle charge on Li-ion cells accelerates capacity fade. Charge fully, then remove from dock until the next run.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The S460 motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked — the pack voltage sags under that load even if the cell is not depleted. The BMS reads the sag as low charge and reduces power to the motor before the indicator triggers. Clean or replace the filter first, then test suction under normal load. If the sag persists on a clean filter, the cell itself has lost capacity and needs replacement.
Motor cutting out mid-cycle and recovering after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When restricted airflow forces the motor to sustain a high-draw state, the BMS cuts the output to protect the cell, then resets after a short cool-down. The vacuum appears to recover, then cuts out again in the same spot. Clear the brush roll and filter of any blockage, then run again — if the trip stops, the restriction was the cause. If it continues on a clean unit, verify the replacement cell's BMS trip threshold matches the S460's motor spec.

Frequently Asked Questions
My CleanMate S460 suction weakens halfway through a clean but the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — what's happening?
A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, causing the pack voltage to sag under load even when the cell is not depleted. The S460 interprets that voltage drop as low battery and dials back motor power before the indicator moves. Remove and clean the filter thoroughly, then run a cycle — suction should hold steady through the full clean. If it still fades on a clean filter, the original battery has lost enough capacity that voltage sag is now the limit, and a replacement cell is the fix.
The S460 keeps cutting out mid-run, pauses for a minute, then starts again — is this the battery?
That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a depleted cell. Restricted airflow — usually a blocked brush roll or clogged filter — forces the motor into a sustained high-current draw, the BMS cuts output to protect the cell, and the unit resets after a brief cool-down. Check and clear the brush roll and filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If the cutouts stop after clearing the blockage, the battery was not the problem; if they continue on a clean unit, check that the replacement cell's BMS trip threshold is consistent with the S460 motor's operating range.
The new battery doesn't seem to hold as much charge as it should — runtime is noticeably short right out of the box.
A replacement Li-ion cell often needs two or three full charge-discharge cycles before it reaches rated capacity — this is normal cell conditioning, not a defect. Run the S460 until the low-battery indicator triggers, charge fully, remove from the dock, and repeat. Also check that the dock connector is clean and making solid contact, since a poor connection causes incomplete charges that look like low capacity. After three full cycles, if capacity is still noticeably below expectation, verify the charger output voltage matches the S460 spec before concluding the cell is faulty.
