Replaces Eureka part number P14426D for the Groove Robot Vacuum.
14.4V and 2600mAh deliver 37.44Wh — sustains autonomous navigation and motor draw across carpet and hard floors.
Connector seats flat into the dock; locking tab engages on downward slide — no force needed.
We bench-tested the BMS on the Eureka charger; cell accepted handshake without fault code and held voltage under no-load rest.
Remove this battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge — continuous dock power degrades lithium cells faster than charge-and-disconnect cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eureka Groove Robot Vacuum — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P14426D)

This is a 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Eureka Groove Robot Vacuum. It slots into the same bay as the original cell and uses the same BMS interface the Groove's charging dock expects. Capacity is sourced from the product specification — 2600mAh at 37.44Wh.

  • Groove Robot Vacuum platform fit: The Groove uses a fixed 14.4V cell bay with a specific connector pinout and BMS handshake that the charging dock verifies before initiating charge. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector exactly, so the dock recognises the cell and charges normally.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on a Groove unit and confirmed the BMS communicated correctly with the dock. Charge acceptance was normal, and the cell reached full charge without error flags on the dock indicator.
  • Dock charging habit for the Groove: Do not leave the Groove sitting on the dock between every clean. Continuous trickle charging from the dock degrades cell capacity faster than storing the vacuum off-dock once full. Charge to 100%, remove from dock, and return it only when the battery is depleted.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Groove

The Groove's motor draws a sustained current to maintain suction across both carpet and hard floor. When the cell ages and internal resistance rises, voltage sags under that load even though the cell isn't technically empty. The BMS reads the sag as a low-voltage condition and reduces power to protect the cell — suction drops, but the indicator hasn't triggered yet. A fresh cell with lower internal resistance holds the voltage rail steady under motor load, which restores full suction throughout the clean.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle then restarts on its own

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. It usually happens when the filter is partially blocked — restricted airflow forces the motor to spin harder, drawing more current than the BMS allows. The BMS cuts output to prevent cell damage, the vacuum stops, and once current drops back to safe levels the BMS resets and the motor restarts. Before replacing the battery, remove and clean the filter. If cutouts continue with a clean filter, the cell's overcurrent threshold has degraded and replacement is the correct fix.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Eureka Groove still shows a charge but suction is noticeably weaker than it used to be — why?

The cell's internal resistance has increased with age. Under the sustained current draw of the motor, voltage sags enough to reduce power to the brush and fan, even though the indicator still reads charged. The indicator measures resting voltage, not the voltage under load — those two numbers drift apart as a cell degrades. Fit a new cell and check whether full suction returns at the start of a clean cycle.

The Groove's motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then coming back on during a clean — is this the battery failing?

It could be the filter before it's the battery. A blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, which spikes current draw above what the BMS will allow — the BMS trips, the motor stops, current drops, the BMS resets, and the motor restarts. Clean or replace the filter first. If the cut-out behaviour continues on a clean filter, the cell's overcurrent tolerance has worn down and a replacement cell is the next step.

I charged this replacement battery fully but the Groove's run time seems shorter than the original — what causes that?

Check whether the vacuum has been sitting on the dock continuously between cleans. Constant trickle charging from the dock is one of the fastest ways to accelerate capacity fade in a Li-ion cell — it keeps the cell at 100% state of charge under low heat for extended periods. Going forward, charge to full, remove the Groove from the dock, and only return it when the battery is genuinely depleted. If the pattern has already been running for weeks, run two or three full discharge-and-charge cycles to let the BMS recalibrate its capacity reading.
