Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

DI4 GYRO LASER 2500 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the DI4 GYRO LASER 2500 cordless stick vacuum. It slots into the same position as the original pack and connects through the existing charge port and motor circuit. When the factory battery starts cutting cycles short, this pack restores full voltage to the suction motor.
- GYRO LASER 2500 compatibility: The 2500 platform runs a 14.4V motor rail with a BMS that monitors cell voltage and draw rate. This pack matches that voltage rail and carries a protection circuit calibrated to the current thresholds the vacuum's controller expects.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the GYRO LASER 2500 motor circuit. The BMS handled full-load suction draws without tripping, and the charger handshake completed normally on every cycle.
- Dock charging behaviour on this vacuum: Do not leave the GYRO LASER 2500 sitting on the dock continuously. Cordless vacuums on permanent trickle charge develop capacity fade faster than those removed after a full charge. Charge fully, then pull it off the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the GYRO LASER 2500, suction loss often happens while the battery indicator still shows charge remaining. The motor draws harder when the filter is partially blocked, pulling more current than the BMS's sustained-draw threshold allows. The BMS responds by stepping the cell output down before the indicator catches up. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery was fine and the restriction was the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then comes back on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When restricted airflow — from a clogged filter or blocked nozzle — forces the motor to work harder, the current spike crosses the BMS's trip point and it shuts output off to protect the cells. The pack resets once the draw clears, which is why the vacuum powers back on after a few seconds. Clear the blockage and check the filter before assuming the battery is at fault. If the trip persists on an unblocked machine, measure resting cell voltage — it should sit at or above 14.0V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My GYRO LASER 2500 loses suction halfway through the floor but the battery light still shows it's charged — what's happening?
The motor on the GYRO LASER 2500 draws more current when the filter is even partially restricted, which pushes the BMS into a voltage-sag condition before the indicator registers low. The battery isn't dead — the motor just can't pull the current it needs cleanly under load. Remove and rinse the filter, let it dry fully, then retest. If suction holds through the full clean after that, the battery is not the issue.
The vacuum cuts out for a few seconds then restarts on its own — is this a battery fault?
That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip resetting itself, not a cell failure. A blockage or dirty filter forces the motor to spike current beyond what the protection circuit allows, so it shuts output off briefly then clears. Check the nozzle, hose, and filter before replacing anything. If the cutout keeps happening on a completely clear machine with a fully charged pack, measure voltage at the contacts — a healthy 14.4V Li-ion cell should read at least 14.0V at rest after a full charge.
We left the GYRO LASER 2500 on the dock between every use for months and now the new battery already seems weaker — did we get a bad cell?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in cordless stick vacuums. The charger keeps feeding a low-level trickle once the pack hits full, and Li-ion cells sitting at 100% under trickle current degrade faster than cells that are charged and then rested off the dock. The cell itself is not defective — the charging habit is the cause. Charge the pack fully, remove it from the dock, and only return it when it genuinely needs a charge.
