Dora CR330 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is an 11.1V 2600mAh (28.86Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Dora CR330, CR331, CR332, and CR333 cordless vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original cell when capacity fade has shortened cleaning cycles to the point the vacuum is no longer useful. Slot it into the same battery bay — same voltage, same form factor.

  • CR330 series compatibility: The CR330, CR331, CR332, and CR333 share the same 11.1V battery rail and connector pinout. The BMS on each model expects the same voltage window and communicates the same charge and discharge thresholds, so one cell covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full discharge and recharge on the CR330 platform. The BMS held the low-voltage cutoff at the correct threshold and resumed charge acceptance without fault codes on the charger LED.
  • Dock charging habit on cordless vacuums: Do not leave the Dora CR330 sitting on the charging dock continuously between uses. Cordless vacuums on permanent dock charge develop capacity fade faster than those charged only when the cell is depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The CR330 motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked or the dustbin is full. Under that extra load, voltage sags earlier in the discharge curve than the indicator expects. The indicator is calibrated for normal operating current — not restricted-airflow current. Clean the filter and empty the dustbin first. If suction restores immediately, the battery is not the fault.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction forces the motor to pull above the BMS current limit, the protection circuit opens and cuts power. The cell cools slightly, the BMS resets, and the motor restarts. The fix is removing the restriction — check the filter, the dustbin seal, and the suction path for blockages before concluding the battery is faulty. A clear airway keeps draw within the BMS threshold.

My Dora CR330 loses strong suction about halfway through a clean even though the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — why?

A partially blocked filter or full dustbin forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage to sag mid-cycle well before the indicator triggers. The indicator is calibrated for normal current draw, not restricted-airflow load. Empty the dustbin and wash the filter — suction that returns immediately confirms the airway was the issue, not the battery. If suction remains weak after clearing the filter, check that the replacement cell is fully charged to 12.6V before the next run.

The vacuum keeps cutting out for a few seconds during heavy use then restarts on its own — is the battery failing?

That restart pattern is the BMS overcurrent protection tripping and resetting, not cell failure. When the motor is forced to pull above the BMS current limit — usually from a blocked filter or a clog in the suction path — the protection circuit opens briefly to prevent damage. Clear any blockage in the filter or nozzle first. If trips stop after clearing the restriction, the battery is functioning as intended.

I've been leaving the CR330 on the charging dock full-time between uses and the battery now runs noticeably shorter than when it was new — did I damage it?

Continuous dock charging trickle-charges the cell even when it is already full, and that sustained top-up voltage accelerates capacity fade in lithium-ion cells. The damage accumulates over weeks and is not reversible on the existing battery. With this replacement cell, charge it fully and then remove it from the dock — only return it to charge when the cell is genuinely depleted. That habit alone will keep capacity close to the rated 2600mAh for significantly longer.
