Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ecovacs Deebot DJ35 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (S08-LI-144-2500)
This is a 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery for the Ecovacs Deebot DJ35 robotic vacuum and related models including the DJ36, DN55, and DN520. It replaces OEM part S08-LI-144-2500. Fits the robot's battery bay directly and connects to the same BMS communication circuit as the factory cell.
- DJ35, DJ36, DN55, DN520 platform: These models share the same 14.4V nominal voltage rail and S08-LI-144-2500 form factor. The connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol are identical across the range, so one cell serves all listed variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the Deebot platform. The BMS correctly reported state of charge to the robot's onboard controller, and overcurrent protection tripped appropriately when we induced a stall condition on the brush motor.
- Dock charging discipline: Do not leave the Deebot sitting on its charging dock permanently between cleans. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells at this voltage. Charge to full, then remove from dock until the next cleaning session.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The Deebot's motor controller reduces power when cell voltage sags under load — this happens well before the indicator flags a low battery. A partially blocked filter or tangled brush roll forces the motor to draw above its rated current, which causes the voltage at the cell terminals to dip early. The BMS interprets this sag as a near-depleted pack and scales back motor output. Clear the filter and brush roll first; if suction recovers, the battery is not the fault.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the brush motor stalls — usually on carpet fringe or a clogged intake — current spikes beyond the cell's rated discharge limit and the BMS opens the circuit. After a short rest, cell temperature drops, the BMS resets, and the robot resumes. The fix is to remove the obstruction from the brush and clean the filter until airflow is unrestricted. If trips continue on a clear brush with a new battery, check that cell voltage at rest is above 14.0V before concluding the pack is faulty.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Deebot stops mid-clean, sits for a moment, then carries on — is that the battery failing?
That pause-and-resume pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not cell failure. A blocked brush roll or restricted filter causes the motor to spike above the cell's rated discharge current, so the BMS cuts the circuit to protect the pack. Clean the filter and remove any debris from the brush before assuming the battery is at fault. If the trips stop after clearing the blockage, the cell is fine — check that resting voltage is above 14.0V to confirm.
The robot's suction feels weak even on a full charge with the new battery — what's causing that?
A restricted filter is the most likely cause. When airflow is blocked, the motor works harder and draws more current than rated, which pulls cell voltage down under load and prompts the motor controller to reduce power output early. The battery indicator can still read full while suction is already compromised. Remove and clean the filter, then run a clean cycle — if suction returns to normal, the filter was the fault, not the battery.
Does leaving the Deebot on its dock all day between cleans damage the new battery faster?
Yes — continuous dock charging puts the Li-ion cells under sustained trickle current once they reach full charge, and that accelerates capacity fade over time. At 14.4V, Li-ion cells degrade faster when held at peak voltage for extended periods than when cycled normally. Charge the robot fully, then lift it off the dock and store it on a flat surface until the next clean. This alone can noticeably extend how long the pack holds its charge across hundreds of cycles.
