Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ecovacs CEN330 / CR330 / CR333 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ICR18650 3S1P)
This is an 11.1V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Ecovacs CEN330, CR330, and CR333 robotic vacuum cleaners. It uses an ICR18650 3S1P cell configuration — three 18650 cells in series — matching the voltage rail the original pack runs on. Fit the replacement when the robot starts returning to dock early, cutting out mid-cycle, or refusing to hold a full charge.
- CEN330, CR330, and CR333 compatibility: These three models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. The 11.1V nominal voltage and cell geometry are consistent across the series, so one replacement SKU covers all three without any modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on a CEN330 unit. The BMS responded correctly to the charger handshake, cell balancing activated between cycles, and overcurrent protection tripped as expected under a simulated motor-stall condition.
- Dock charging habit on the CEN330: Do not leave the robot sitting on the dock permanently between uses. Continuous trickle charging through the dock accelerates capacity fade on Li-ion cells. Charge the robot to full, then remove it from the dock until the next scheduled clean.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the CEN330
The CEN330 motor draws current proportional to suction load. A partially blocked filter or brush roll forces the motor to pull more amps than rated, which causes the pack voltage to sag under load even when the cell state-of-charge is still mid-range. The BMS reads that voltage sag and throttles output to protect the cells — so the robot slows or loses suction well before the indicator registers low. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap first. If suction recovers after cleaning, the battery is not the problem. If sag continues on a clean filter, the pack cells have degraded and the replacement is the correct fix.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then recovering after a few seconds
This is an overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When the brush roll jams or the suction path is blocked, current draw spikes sharply. The BMS cuts the output circuit to prevent cell damage, which kills the motor. After a few seconds the BMS resets and power returns. If this happens repeatedly on a cleared brush roll and clean filter, the cells in the original pack can no longer sustain the current the motor demands at start-up — typically around 3A to 5A peak on the CEN330. Replace the pack and confirm the new battery holds above 10.5V under load during the first cleaning cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Ecovacs CEN330 keeps returning to dock early even after a full overnight charge — is the new battery going to fix this?
Early dock return on a full charge is the primary sign of cell capacity fade in the original pack — the cells can no longer hold enough charge to sustain the motor voltage through a full cycle. A replacement pack with fresh 18650 cells restores the usable capacity to the original 2600mAh spec. Before fitting the replacement, clean the filter and brush roll — a restricted airway forces the motor to draw more current, which shortens each run regardless of battery condition. After fitting, run two full charge-discharge cycles and check whether the robot completes a full floor pass without returning early.
I fitted the replacement battery but the CEN330 won't charge on the dock — the indicator just blinks and stops.
A blinking charge indicator that stops usually means the charger is not completing its BMS handshake with the new pack. Check that the dock contacts are clean and making firm contact with the robot's charging pins — oxidised contacts interrupt the low-current signal the charger uses to wake the BMS. If contacts are clean, place the robot on the dock, wait 60 seconds, then lift and reseat it to force a fresh handshake cycle. If the pack voltage has dropped below approximately 9V from storage, the charger may refuse to initiate — in that case, a brief boost charge via the battery terminals to bring cells above 9V will allow the standard dock charge to begin.
The CEN330 motor cuts out on carpet but runs fine on hard floors — why does this happen with the replacement battery?
Carpet cleaning pulls significantly more current from the pack than hard floor cleaning because the brush roll and motor work harder against the added resistance. If the replacement pack cells sag below the BMS cutoff threshold under that sustained high-current draw, the BMS trips and the motor stops. This is most common when the filter is partially blocked, compounding the load on the motor. Clean the filter thoroughly, then run the robot on carpet and check that pack voltage holds above 10.5V under load — if it does, the BMS trip was filter-related, not a cell fault.
