Fits Ecovacs Deebot Y1 and Y1 Plus models, replacing OEM part CS02-LI-1440-5200.
14.4V lithium-ion pack delivers 5200mAh capacity for sustained motor and navigation power on carpet and hard floors.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with positive contact pins centered; locking tab seats flush against the vacuum frame.
We bench-tested the BMS on a Y1 unit — cell accepted standard charge profile with no early cutoff or thermal trip.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock permanently once full; cordless vacuum dock chargers apply continuous trickle current that degrades lithium cells faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ecovacs Deebot Y1 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CS02-LI-1440-5200)

This 14.4V 5200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Ecovacs Deebot Y1 and Deebot Y1 Plus robotic vacuums. It slots into the same bay and connects to the same BMS as the factory unit. Voltage and cell count match the original to keep the brush motor and navigation system running at spec.

  • Deebot Y1 and Y1 Plus compatibility: Both models share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One replacement covers both units without any modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge runs on the Deebot Y1 platform. The BMS held current limits correctly across both brush motor start surge and sustained navigation load, with no unexpected cutoff events.
  • Dock charging practice for the Deebot Y1: Do not leave the Deebot Y1 sitting on the charging dock indefinitely between uses. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion packs faster than regular charge-and-remove cycles. Charge to full, then lift the unit off the dock until the next cleaning session.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Deebot Y1

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the brush roll or filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than rated, which pulls cell voltage down earlier than the state-of-charge indicator expects. The BMS sees the voltage drop and begins throttling motor output to protect the cells — the vacuum loses suction while the indicator still shows mid-charge. Clear the brush roll and clean or replace the filter first. If suction recovers, the battery is not the cause. If the problem persists on a clean filter with a degraded original pack, the cells have lost enough capacity that voltage sag appears at normal load.

Deebot Y1 motor cuts out briefly then recovers mid-clean

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a mechanical fault. Sustained restricted airflow forces the brush motor to draw above its rated current ceiling, and the BMS cuts the output circuit to protect the cells. After a few seconds, the BMS resets and power returns — which is why the vacuum seems to recover on its own. Check the filter and brush roll for blockage before replacing the battery. If the filter is clear and the cutout still occurs, the original cells have degraded to a point where internal resistance is high enough to trigger the overcurrent threshold at normal load; replacing the pack resolves this.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Deebot Y1 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows plenty of charge — what's happening?

This is voltage sag under load, not a faulty indicator. A restricted filter or tangled brush roll forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which drags cell voltage down early and causes the BMS to throttle motor output before the state-of-charge display catches up. Clean or replace the filter and clear the brush roll first — if suction returns to normal, the battery is not the problem. If you're running the original pack after two or more years of use, degraded cells will sag at normal load; replacing the battery with a fresh 14.4V 5200mAh unit restores stable motor voltage.

The Deebot Y1 cuts out for a few seconds then starts again on its own — is this the battery failing?

It's a BMS overcurrent trip, and it usually means airflow is restricted. When the brush motor can't move air freely, it pulls more current than the BMS's trip threshold allows, so the circuit cuts and resets in seconds. Check the filter first — if it's clogged, clean it and run another cycle. If the cutouts continue on a clean filter, the original cells have built up enough internal resistance that they trigger the overcurrent threshold under a normal cleaning load; swapping to a new pack eliminates that resistance and stops the trips.

My Deebot Y1 replacement battery isn't charging — the dock light comes on but the unit shows no charge activity.

This usually points to a BMS handshake issue between the new pack and the dock's charge controller. Some aftermarket cells ship in a deep-discharge state where the BMS has locked the charge circuit as a protection measure. Seat the battery firmly and leave the unit on the dock for 30 minutes without disturbing it — the BMS often requires a sustained low-current signal to re-initialise before it opens the charge circuit. If the dock light turns green immediately without the unit showing any voltage gain, check the connector pins on the battery and bay for bent contacts; reseat and try again.
