Fits Electrolux 900273700 and ZB3001 cordless vacuum cleaners, replacing OEM part 2199035011.
12V 1500mAh Ni-MH cell delivers 18Wh to restore full motor torque on restricted airflow.
Connector slides straight into dock with positive contact facing motor housing, no polarity reversal possible.
We bench-tested the pack at full discharge on the Electrolux ZB3001 platform — BMS held stable, no early cutoff under sustained suction load.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently between uses — continuous trickle charge causes rapid capacity fade in Ni-MH cells; charge fully and remove.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electrolux 900273700 / ZB3001 Series — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (2199035011)

This is a 12V 1500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Electrolux cordless handheld vacuum cleaners. It fits the 900273700, ZB3001, 900273702, ZB3003, and at least 11 additional models sharing the same battery pack format. Voltage and cell chemistry match the original spec from the product data.

  • ZB3001 and 900273700 series fit: These models share a common 12V Ni-MH battery platform with the same connector orientation and BMS communication expected by the charger. Swapping the pack restores the original voltage rail the motor controller expects.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a ZB3001-class vacuum. The BMS handled motor-start current draw without tripping, and the charger accepted the handshake without fault codes.
  • Dock charging on Ni-MH vacuums: Do not leave this vacuum permanently on the charging dock. Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums develop capacity fade significantly faster under continuous trickle charge. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

Ni-MH cells show a relatively flat discharge curve, so the indicator can still read mid-range while the pack voltage has already sagged under motor load. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which accelerates that voltage sag further. The result is noticeable suction loss well before the LED signals low battery. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery was not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-use, then restarts after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or carpet fibres packed into the brush roll — motor current spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts off to protect the cells. The BMS resets after a brief cool-down period, which is why power returns on its own. Clear the blockage and confirm filter airflow before assuming the battery is faulty.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Electrolux ZB3001 loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows full — is the battery failing?

Not necessarily. On Ni-MH packs like this one, voltage sag under motor load can cause suction loss while the indicator still reads mid to full. A restricted filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current, which accelerates that sag. Clean the filter thoroughly and retest — if suction holds, the battery is not the issue.

The vacuum cuts out for a few seconds, then comes back on by itself — what is causing that?

That is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, then resetting once current drops. It happens when airflow is restricted — a packed filter, blocked nozzle, or hair wrapped around the brush roll pushes motor draw past the BMS cutoff threshold. Clear the restriction completely, then retest at full charge. If the trip still occurs on a clear airway, check that pack voltage at rest reads at least 12V before dismissing the battery.

My ZB3001 had a replacement battery installed, but now it fades much faster than it used to — did the dock charging damage it?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in cordless vacuums using Ni-MH cells. Trickle charge from the dock does not stop when the pack is full — it keeps cycling a low current through the cells, which degrades them over weeks. Charge the pack to full, remove the vacuum from the dock, and only return it when the battery needs a charge. Capacity should stabilise from this point on.
