Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ETA 1515 Falco Series — 14.8V Li-ion 2600mAh Replacement Battery
This is a 14.8V, 2600mAh lithium-ion battery pack for the ETA 1515 Falco and related cordless vacuum models. It fits the 1515 Falco, 2515 FalcoSmart, 2512 Aron, and 1515 90000 Falco among others. Replace this cell when the original no longer holds charge or suction power drops off early in a cleaning cycle.
- Falco and Aron platform compatibility: The 1515 Falco, 2515 FalcoSmart, and 2512 Aron share the same 14.8V cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. Swapping between these models does not require a firmware reset or charger change.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Falco platform. The BMS handshook correctly with the ETA charger, cell balancing activated across all four cells, and over-current protection tripped as expected under a simulated motor blockage condition.
- Dock charging behaviour on the Falco: Do not leave the Falco sitting on its charging dock continuously between uses. The dock does not terminate charge cleanly — sustained trickle current degrades cell capacity faster than normal discharge cycling. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than its rated load. The extra draw causes voltage to sag at the battery terminals earlier than the state-of-charge indicator expects. The indicator reads remaining charge accurately, but the motor cannot sustain suction at reduced voltage. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers immediately, the battery is not the cause.
Motor cutting out mid-use and then recovering after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, full dustbin, or obstructed nozzle — motor current spikes beyond the BMS threshold and the circuit opens to protect the cells. The BMS resets after a short thermal cool-down, which is why the vacuum starts again a minute later. Clear the restriction, then check that resting cell voltage reads above 15.5V on a multimeter before resuming use.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ETA Falco starts with full suction but drops off well before the battery indicator shows low — is the battery already failing?
Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter makes the motor draw more current than rated, which drags down terminal voltage faster than the state-of-charge indicator can track. The indicator reads charge level accurately, but the motor loses effective suction as voltage sags under the extra load. Clean or replace the HEPA filter first — if suction holds longer immediately after, the battery is fine.
The Falco motor cuts out during use and then starts again after I wait a minute — what triggers that?
That is the BMS tripping an overcurrent protection cutoff, not a battery fault. A blocked nozzle, full dustbin, or clogged filter causes motor current to spike beyond the BMS threshold, which opens the circuit to protect the cells. The BMS resets after a short cool-down, which is why the vacuum recovers on its own. Clear any restriction and check that resting pack voltage reads above 15.5V before continuing.
I bought a replacement battery for the Falco but it is not taking a charge — the charger light stays red or does nothing.
If cells have dropped below approximately 10V from prolonged storage, the BMS may block charging as a deep-discharge safety measure. Some ETA chargers also perform a handshake with the BMS before initiating a charge cycle, and a deeply discharged cell can fail that check. Try connecting the battery, waiting two minutes, then disconnecting and reconnecting — some BMS units will re-initialise on the second attempt. If the charger still shows no response after three attempts, measure pack voltage directly at the terminals; anything below 9V requires a trickle pre-charge before the BMS will accept a standard charge.
