Fits Infiniton Cleaner 1080, Cleaner 720, and Cleaner 1020 vacuums, replacing OEM part CG-990.
14.4V lithium-ion cell with 2600mAh capacity maintains motor torque under carpet load and sustained suction.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab securing the pack firmly.
We ran full discharge cycles on the Cleaner 1080 platform — the BMS triggered no faults and accepted normal charge termination.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock permanently; cordless vacuums develop capacity fade under continuous trickle charge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Infiniton Cleaner 1080 / 1020 / 720 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CG-990)

This is a 14.4V 2600mAh (37.44Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Infiniton Cleaner 1080, Cleaner 1020, and Cleaner 720 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part CG-990, the original cell that powers the drive motors and cleaning system. When the original pack no longer holds adequate charge, this is the direct replacement.

  • Cleaner 1080, 1020, and 720 compatibility: All three models share the same 14.4V battery rail, CG-990 part number, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol is consistent across this range, so one cell covers all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the Cleaner 1080 platform. The BMS held cutoff correctly at low voltage and accepted charge without fault codes on the dock.
  • Dock charging habit for this vacuum: Do not leave the Cleaner on its dock permanently between uses. Robotic vacuums held on continuous trickle charge develop capacity fade faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS expects — usually because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder. The voltage sag under that extra load triggers a soft power reduction before the fuel gauge registers low. The vacuum appears to be running out of charge early, but the battery is not the root cause. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest — suction should hold steady across the full charge cycle.

Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, tangled brush roll, or debris lodged in the inlet — current draw spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts the motor off as a protection measure. The few-second pause is the BMS resetting before allowing current flow again. Clear the restriction completely and confirm the brush roll spins freely before charging to 14.4V and resuming use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Infiniton Cleaner 1080 loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows full — why?

A restricted filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage sag at the cell before the fuel gauge registers low. The vacuum reads the drop as a suction loss, not a battery event. Remove and clean the filter thoroughly, then run a full clean cycle — suction should hold consistently if the filter was the cause. If suction still drops after a clean filter, check the brush roll and inlet for partial blockages.

The robot cuts out for a few seconds mid-clean, then starts again on its own — is the battery faulty?

That cut-and-recover pattern is the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a failed cell. It happens when something restricts airflow or jams the brush roll, spiking current draw above the BMS protection threshold. The pack shuts off briefly, resets, and resumes. Clear any blockage in the inlet and brush roll, confirm both spin and move freely, then recharge to 14.4V before the next run.

The replacement CG-990 battery isn't charging on the dock — the dock light just flashes and nothing happens.

Some Infiniton dock chargers expect a specific BMS handshake before initiating charge. If the pack sat fully discharged for a period before installation, the BMS may have entered deep-discharge lockout and the dock cannot wake it with normal charge current. Place the vacuum on the dock for a full 24-hour period — the charger's trickle stage can sometimes recover a locked-out BMS slowly. If the dock light still faults after 24 hours, test with a compatible external charger at 16.8V to confirm whether the pack or the dock is the fault point.
