Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Karcher RC3 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (9.754-313.0)
This is a 14.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery for the Kärcher RC3 robotic vacuum cleaner. It replaces OEM part 9.754-313.0 and restores power to the RC3's drive motors, suction motor, and navigation sensors. When the original cell degrades after repeated charge cycles, suction weakens and cleaning runs shorten — this replacement brings the robot back to full operating voltage.
- RC3 platform fit: The RC3 runs a single 14.4V Li-ion pack that powers both locomotion and suction through one shared voltage rail. The BMS on this replacement matches the original charge profile, so the dock charger recognises the pack and initiates a normal charge cycle without faulting.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and load discharge on the RC3 platform. The BMS held voltage steady under combined motor and navigation load, and the pack accepted a full charge from the Kärcher dock without triggering a charge error.
- Dock charging habit on the RC3: The RC3 returns to its dock after every run, which means the battery sits on a live charger between cleaning sessions. Remove the robot from the dock once it reaches full charge — continuous trickle charging accelerates cell degradation faster than normal cycle use.
Suction dropping before the RC3 battery indicator shows low
The RC3's suction motor draws the highest current in the pack. When the filter is partially blocked, airflow resistance increases and the motor pulls above its rated draw. The BMS reads this as a voltage sag event and begins throttling output to protect the cell — suction drops even though the indicator still shows charge remaining. Clean or replace the filter first, then check whether suction holds across a full run.
RC3 motor cutting out mid-run and then recovering
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Sustained restricted airflow forces the suction motor to hold a high-draw state longer than the BMS threshold allows. The pack cuts output, the motor stops, and after a short thermal recovery window the BMS resets and the robot resumes. Check the filter, brush roll, and intake path for blockages before assuming the battery is at fault — a clear airway keeps current draw within the BMS operating window.

Frequently Asked Questions
The RC3 ran fine for months but now it stops and restarts mid-clean — is the battery dead or is something else wrong?
That stop-start pattern is almost always a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failed cell. A partially blocked filter or tangled brush roll forces the suction motor to sustain high current draw, and the BMS cuts output to protect the pack before resetting. Check the filter first — a clogged filter causes more mid-run cutouts than worn batteries do. Clear the blockage, run a full cycle, and see whether the cutouts stop before replacing any parts.
My RC3 has been sitting on the dock every day for a year and the cleaning runs are noticeably shorter — what happened to the battery?
Continuous dock charging degrades Li-ion cells faster than regular charge-and-use cycles. The RC3 returns to its dock after every run, so the battery spends most of its life under a low-level trickle charge — this causes gradual capacity fade even without heavy use. The original pack has likely lost meaningful capacity through this cycle pattern. With a replacement cell, charge to full, then physically remove the robot from the dock between cleaning sessions.
The replacement battery is installed but the RC3 won't start charging on the dock — the indicator just blinks and stops.
The Kärcher dock sends a handshake signal before it begins charging, and if the replacement BMS doesn't respond within the expected window, the charger faults out. Reseat the battery firmly — a loose connection breaks the handshake. If the blink pattern persists, place the robot on the dock, wait 90 seconds without moving it, and check whether the charge indicator transitions from blinking to a steady light, which confirms the BMS has initialised.
