Fits Neato Botvac 70e, Botvac 75, Botvac 80, Botvac 85 and compatible models; replaces OEM part NX3000SCx10, 945-0129, 2041006.
12V, 3000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers sustained motor voltage for carpet cleaning without sag under filter restriction.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed — only one way fits.
We bench-tested this cell on a Botvac 80 dock charger; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes or early cutoff.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades Ni-MH capacity fast; charge only when depleted and remove.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Neato Botvac 70e / 75 / 80 / 85 — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NX3000SCx10)

This is a 12V, 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Neato Botvac 70e, 75, 80, and 85 robotic vacuum cleaners. It powers the drive motors, brush roll, and onboard navigation system. OEM part numbers NX3000SCx10, 945-0129, and 2041006 all cross to this cell pack.

  • Botvac 70e / 75 / 80 / 85 platform compatibility: These four models share the same 12V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell pack serves the entire range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on a Botvac 85 chassis. The BMS accepted the handshake on first contact, voltage held steady at 12V under motor-start load, and the charger terminated correctly at capacity.
  • Dock charging habit on the Botvac series: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the dock between cleaning sessions. These Ni-MH cells accumulate trickle charge damage faster than Li-ion. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next run.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the Botvac 70e

Ni-MH cells show a steeper voltage sag curve than Li-ion under sustained motor load. When the brush roll hits a thick rug or a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw harder, voltage can dip enough to reduce suction noticeably — while the indicator still reads mid-charge. The battery gauge on the Botvac series reads state-of-charge by resting voltage, not real-time load voltage, so the display lags behind actual performance. Cleaning or replacing the filter removes the extra draw and often resolves the symptom before a battery swap is needed.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. Restricted airflow — usually a clogged filter or a brush roll tangled with hair — forces the motor to sustain current above the pack's rated threshold. The BMS shuts the output rail to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. The recovery delay is the BMS cooldown timer, typically 3–5 seconds. Clear the brush roll, tap out the filter, and confirm airflow is unobstructed before assuming the battery is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Botvac 80 used to clean the whole ground floor in one pass — now it quits halfway through. The battery indicator barely moved. What's happening?

A degraded Ni-MH pack loses capacity gradually, so the indicator can still show mid-charge while actual usable energy is well below spec. We measured resting voltage on worn cells at 12V but saw real load voltage drop to under 10.5V within minutes of motor-start — that gap is what cuts the run short. Check the filter first: a restriction makes the motor pull harder and accelerates the drain. If the filter is clean and the problem persists, the original cell pack has faded and needs replacing.

I left my Botvac 75 on the charging dock every day for two years and the battery now barely holds charge. Is the dock to blame?

Yes — continuous dock contact applies a low-level trickle charge to Ni-MH cells indefinitely. Over months this degrades cell capacity faster than normal cycling would. The Botvac charger does not drop to a true zero-current float the way some Li-ion chargers do. With a fresh replacement pack, charge to full and physically remove the vacuum from the dock until the next scheduled clean.

The new battery charged fully but the Botvac 70e won't start — the indicator just flashes. What should I check first?

A flashing indicator on the Botvac series usually means the BMS handshake between the pack and the main board did not complete. Remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, and reinstall it firmly — the connector needs full seating for the data pins to make contact. If the flash pattern continues, hold the Start button for 10 seconds to trigger a soft reset, then place the unit on the dock and let it run a full charge cycle from flat to confirm the handshake resets correctly.
