Clean the filter first, then check the resting pack voltage — a healthy 11.1V three-cell pack should read 12.4V or above at rest.

Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a battery failure. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, full dustbin, or a clog in the nozzle — the motor works harder and draws current above the BMS cutoff threshold. The BMS shuts the output, the motor stops, and after a few seconds the BMS resets and power returns. Clear the restriction completely, then restart the vacuum. If the trip repeats on an unobstructed machine, the original cell has degraded and can no longer sustain rated current draw.
