Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

RobZone Duoro Xcontrol 2 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BONA18650)
This 14.4V Li-ion cell pack replaces the original battery in the RobZone Duoro Xcontrol 2 robotic vacuum cleaner. It fits the Duoro Xcontrol Generace 2.0, Profi Generace 2.0, and Generace 3.0 as well. Capacity is 2600mAh (37.44Wh), matching the factory specification.
- Duoro Xcontrol platform fit: These models share the same 14.4V motor rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The cell configuration — four 18650 cells in series — is consistent across the Xcontrol 2 and Generace variants, which is why one pack covers the full range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through full charge and discharge cycles on a Duoro Xcontrol 2 unit. The BMS engaged cell balancing correctly, current draw during motor start registered within rated range, and cutoff voltage triggered cleanly at the low threshold without tripping overcurrent protection.
- Dock charging on robotic vacuums: Do not leave the Duoro on its charging dock permanently. Robotic vacuums that sit on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than units charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor draws more current than the cell pack can sustain at its present state of charge. A partially blocked filter or brush roll restriction forces the motor to work harder, pulling sustained high current that triggers a voltage sag at the pack — well before the indicator registers a low state. The vacuum reads cell voltage, not capacity, so the display lags behind what the motor is actually experiencing. Clean the filter and brush roll first; if suction still drops early, the cell pack has degraded below usable capacity and needs replacement.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and restarts after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, tangled brush roll, or the vacuum jammed against furniture — current spikes above the BMS threshold and it disconnects the pack to protect the cells. The BMS resets after a short cooldown, which is why the motor restarts on its own. Check the filter and brush roll before assuming the battery is at fault; on a clear airway, the pack should run without tripping. If trips continue on a clear machine, measure resting pack voltage — a healthy 14.4V Li-ion pack at full charge should read approximately 16.8V.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Duoro Xcontrol 2 lose suction well before the battery light shows low?
The battery indicator reads cell voltage, not remaining capacity — and voltage holds up reasonably well until the pack is nearly empty. Under motor load with a restricted filter, voltage sags early without the indicator catching it. Clean the filter and brush roll first; if suction still drops prematurely after that, the cell pack has lost enough capacity that it can no longer sustain the motor's current draw under real cleaning conditions.
The motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then restarting — is this a faulty battery?
Not necessarily. That cycle is the BMS tripping on overcurrent and resetting after a short cooldown. It happens when the motor draws a sustained spike above the BMS threshold — most commonly because a blocked filter or tangled brush roll is restricting airflow. Clear the filter and brush roll, then run the vacuum again. If the cut-outs stop, the battery was fine — the restriction was the cause. If trips continue on a clean machine with a new pack, check that resting pack voltage reads around 16.8V at full charge.
My Duoro's battery seems to drain faster than it did when new — is the replacement cell any different?
Capacity fade on robotic vacuums is almost always caused by continuous dock charging rather than cell wear from use. Trickle current from sitting permanently on the dock degrades Li-ion cells faster than normal discharge cycles do. With this replacement pack, charge it fully, then remove the Duoro from the dock. Recharge only when the battery is depleted. That alone typically restores usable runtime to close to rated capacity.
