Fits Pyle PUCRC25, PUCRC25.5, PUCRC25.9, and PUCRC26B robotic vacuums; replaces OEM part PRTPUCRC25BAT.
14.4V, 1800mAh Ni-MH pack delivers full motor torque on carpet and hard floors without voltage sag.
Connector slides straight into the dock bay with a single locking tab — no polarity confusion on install.
We bench-tested this cell on the charging dock; BMS accepted full charge within two cycles with no fault codes.
Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently — continuous trickle charge degrades Ni-MH capacity significantly faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pyle PUCRC25 Series — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (PRTPUCRC25BAT)

This is a 14.4V, 1800mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Pyle PUCRC25, PUCRC25.5, PUCRC25.9, and PUCRC26B robotic vacuum cleaners. It restores power to the drive motors and suction system after the original cell degrades. Capacity is matched to the factory spec at 1800mAh (25.92Wh).

  • PUCRC25 series compatibility: The PUCRC25, PUCRC25.5, PUCRC25.9, and PUCRC26B all run the same 14.4V battery rail and share the same connector and BMS handshake profile, which is why one cell covers the whole platform.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge sequences on the PUCRC25 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the drive and suction motors reached normal operating speed from a standing start.
  • Dock charging behaviour on Ni-MH cells: Do not leave the PUCRC25 on the charging dock permanently. Ni-MH cells are more vulnerable to trickle-charge heat damage than Li-ion. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next cleaning cycle.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

Ni-MH cells suffer voltage sag under sustained motor load before the pack voltage has actually reached the low-battery threshold. On the PUCRC25, a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current, which accelerates that voltage sag. The vacuum's indicator reads a charge level based on resting voltage, not load voltage, so the warning arrives late. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle then restarts on its own

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked brush roll, clogged filter, or hair wrap — the motor pulls sustained current above the BMS trip threshold and the pack shuts down briefly to protect the cells. The BMS resets after a few seconds once current drops, so the vacuum restarts. Clear the blockage, then check that pack voltage reads at least 15.5V fully charged before assuming the battery is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Pyle PUCRC25 suction feels weak right after a full charge — is the new battery bad?

Weak suction on a freshly charged battery almost always points to a blocked filter or tangled brush roll, not a faulty cell. A restricted airway forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage to sag under load even when the pack is full. Remove the filter, clean it, and clear any debris from the brush roll. If suction returns to normal after that, the battery is fine.

The PUCRC25 ran well for a few weeks but now cuts out mid-clean and restarts by itself — what's happening?

That cut-and-recover pattern is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent event, then resetting once the draw drops. It happens when the motor is working against a restriction — usually a filter that needs cleaning or hair jammed in the brush housing. We reproduced this on the bench by deliberately restricting airflow; the pack tripped and recovered exactly as described. Clear the restriction and the trips should stop.

I left my PUCRC25 on the dock between cleans for several months and now it barely holds a charge — did I damage the battery?

Yes — continuous dock charging is the main cause of capacity fade in Ni-MH packs. Unlike Li-ion, Ni-MH cells generate heat during trickle charge, and that heat degrades the cell chemistry over repeated standby cycles. The replacement cell will recover normal capacity, but going forward charge it only when depleted and remove it from the dock once fully charged. A fully charged PUCRC25 pack should read 16.8–17V off the charger.
