Fits Rowenta Air Force Light models MS6573, MS6573WP/BA0, and MS657x series; replaces OEM part FS-9100028994.
21.6V and 2000mAh capacity delivers 43.2Wh for sustained motor draw across carpets and hard floors without mid-cycle fade.
Connector slides onto the dock contacts with a locking tab that seats flush; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested the BMS under blocked-filter conditions; the pack held voltage stable through the protection cutoff without early shutdown or recovery lag.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock permanently — continuous trickle charge degrades capacity much faster than removing it when full.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rowenta Air Force Light MS657x Series — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (FS-9100028994)

This is a 21.6V Li-ion battery pack rated at 2000mAh (43.2Wh), built to fit the Rowenta Air Force Light cordless vacuum range. It covers the MS6573, MS6573WP/BA0, and the broader MS657x series. Slot it in and the vacuum powers up on the original charger without modification.

  • MS657x platform fit: Every model in this range runs the same 21.6V bus voltage, uses the same connector housing, and expects the same BMS communication profile. That shared architecture is why one cell pack covers the full MS657x lineup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycles on an MS6573 unit, confirming the BMS handshake with the Rowenta dock charger, full cell balancing across the series string, and correct low-voltage cutoff before cell damage threshold.
  • Dock charging habit for this vacuum: The Air Force Light's charger does not switch to a true maintenance mode once full — it continues to push a trickle current. Remove the vacuum from the dock once the charge indicator shows full. Leaving it docked permanently compresses the usable capacity of the cells within months.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — usually because the filter is partially blocked. The BMS reads the voltage sag on the cell string as a low-battery condition and throttles power to protect the cells. The indicator hasn't moved, but current demand has spiked. Clean or replace the filter first, then recharge the pack to 21.6V before testing again.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or hair wrap on the brush bar — the motor load spikes beyond the BMS current limit and it opens the discharge circuit. The brief pause lets the BMS reset and the motor restarts. Clear the restriction completely, then check that the brush bar spins freely before continuing.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Rowenta Air Force Light has noticeably weaker suction but the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — what's happening?

The suction loss is almost always a restricted airflow path, not a dead battery. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than its rated load, which triggers voltage sag on the cell string and reduces motor speed before the indicator reflects anything. Remove and tap out the filter, clear the nozzle and brush bar, then recharge fully to 21.6V and test again.

The vacuum cuts out suddenly during a clean, then starts working again after I wait a minute — is this the battery or something else?

That pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not cell failure. Sustained restricted suction — a clogged filter or a jammed brush bar — spikes the motor's current draw past the BMS limit, which opens the discharge circuit to protect the cells. The pause lets the BMS reset automatically. Fix the restriction first: clear the brush bar of hair wrap, clean the filter, and check the nozzle before putting the vacuum back into use.

My Air Force Light's battery holds less charge every month even though I keep it on the dock between cleans — did I get a faulty pack?

The pack is likely fine — continuous dock charging is the cause. The Air Force Light's charger does not drop to a true float mode once the cells are full, so leaving it docked permanently stresses the cells with sustained trickle current and compresses their usable capacity over weeks. Charge the battery fully, then remove the vacuum from the dock and store it off the charger. Repeat that cycle and capacity stabilises.
