Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Veluce Vivo — 14.4V Ni-MH 3000mAh Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V Ni-MH battery rated at 3000mAh (43.2Wh), built as a direct replacement for the Veluce Vivo cordless vacuum cleaner. It slots into the Vivo's battery bay and restores suction power to a unit that's lost capacity or won't hold charge. No OEM part number exists for this cell, but fit and voltage match the original Vivo specification.
- Vivo platform compatibility: The Vivo runs on a 14.4V rail matched to this cell's nominal output. The motor controller expects this voltage window — too low and suction drops before the indicator registers empty. This cell holds the rail steady under normal floor and carpet loads.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through repeated full discharge and charge passes on the Vivo platform. The BMS handled motor start current without tripping, and voltage recovery between passes was consistent with rated capacity.
- Dock charging on Ni-MH cells: Remove the Vivo from its charging dock once the charge completes. Ni-MH chemistry degrades faster under continuous trickle charge than Li-ion does. Charge only when the battery is genuinely depleted, then remove from the dock.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before battery indicator reaches low
Ni-MH cells show a relatively flat discharge curve, but under high motor load — thick carpet, a partially blocked filter, or a tangled brush roll — the pack voltage sags faster than the indicator tracks. The indicator reads state of charge at rest voltage, not under load. A clogged filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which accelerates voltage sag and makes the vacuum feel weak while the indicator still shows half charge. Clean or replace the filter first, then test suction — a clean filter drops motor draw back into the normal range.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked hose, full dust bin, compressed filter — the motor draws sustained high current trying to maintain airflow. The BMS reads this as an overcurrent condition and cuts power to protect the cell. After a few seconds the BMS resets and the motor restarts. Check the bin, filter, and hose before assuming the battery is faulty. If cut-outs stop after clearing the blockage, the cell is working correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Veluce Vivo runs for a while then suddenly shuts off and restarts on its own — is the battery failing?
That cut-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a failing cell. The motor draws more current than rated when airflow is restricted — a full bin, a clogged filter, or a blocked hose are the usual causes. The BMS cuts power to protect the battery, then resets after a few seconds. Empty the bin, clean the filter, and clear the hose, then retest — if the cut-outs stop, the cell is fine.
The Vivo feels noticeably weaker than it did six months ago even on a full charge — what causes that?
Ni-MH capacity fade from continuous dock charging is the most common cause. Leaving the Vivo plugged in on the dock after a full charge applies a slow trickle that degrades Ni-MH cells faster than normal cycling does. Charge the battery only when it's genuinely depleted, remove it from the dock once charging completes, and repeat that pattern for several cycles — capacity often partially recovers once trickle damage stops accumulating.
The Vivo won't charge on the new replacement battery — the charger light just flashes or stays off entirely.
Ni-MH chargers on some cordless vacuums use a voltage threshold check before committing to a full charge cycle. If the replacement cell sits at too low a resting voltage after shipping or storage, the charger reads it as a fault. Connect the charger and leave it for 30–60 minutes without interruption — some chargers apply a low-current recovery pulse before switching to full charge. If the light stabilises and charging begins, the cell was just deeply discharged; check the pack voltage after a full cycle, which should read approximately 16.8V off the charger.
