Fits Zaco V3, V5s Pro, V5x, and V40 robotic vacuums; replaces OEM battery CS-FEX750VX.
14.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full motor and navigation power across all compatible models.
Flat connector interface seats into the battery slot with positive contact verification and locking tab engagement.
We bench-tested the BMS under sustained motor load; cutoff held steady at rated amperage with no premature shutdown.
Do not leave this cell on the dock continuously after reaching full charge — trickle cycling degrades capacity faster than removing and charging only when depleted.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zaco V3 / V5s Pro / V5x / V40 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh (37.44Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Zaco V3, V5s Pro, V5x, and V40 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original cell when capacity has faded and cleaning cycles have shortened noticeably. Fits the same battery bay and connector as the factory unit.

  • V3, V5s Pro, V5x, and V40 compatibility: These four models share the same 14.4V battery platform, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One cell works across all four without adapters or firmware differences.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the V3 platform. The BMS handshook correctly on first connection, protection thresholds triggered at expected voltages, and the charge circuit accepted the cell without error.
  • Dock charging practice for robotic vacuums: Do not leave the Zaco on the charging dock permanently between cleans. These robots trickle-charge when left docked continuously, and that sustained low-current charge accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next clean.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated to maintain airflow. That elevated draw causes voltage to sag at the cell level, and the motor slows even though the battery indicator still shows charge remaining. The BMS reads actual cell voltage, not the display estimate, so it can throttle motor power before the indicator catches up. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers fully, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a battery failure. When suction is restricted — by a clogged filter or a blockage at the brush roll — the motor pulls a sustained current spike that exceeds the BMS protection threshold. The BMS disconnects the output to protect the cell, then resets once current demand drops. Clear any blockage, check the filter, and confirm the cell rests at 16.4V or above on a full charge before ruling out a degraded cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Zaco was cleaning fine but now the suction feels weak even on a full charge — is the new battery the issue?

Weak suction on a full charge is almost always a restricted airflow problem, not the battery. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw excess current, which causes cell voltage to sag under load and the motor to slow — even though the indicator still reads full. Clean or replace the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap before swapping the battery. If suction returns to normal after clearing the blockage, the cell is fine.

The Zaco cuts out mid-clean, pauses for about 30 seconds, then starts again — what's causing that?

That stop-start pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip resetting itself. When airflow is restricted, the motor sustains a current draw above the BMS protection limit, and the BMS disconnects the output to protect the cell. Once current demand drops during the pause, it resets and allows the motor to restart. Clear any blockage at the brush roll and inlet, clean the filter, and check that the battery reaches 16.4V on a full charge — a cell that can't hold that resting voltage will trip the BMS more easily.

I've had this new battery for a few months and the cleaning cycles are already getting shorter — what went wrong?

Capacity fade this early almost always comes from leaving the Zaco permanently docked between cleans. Continuous dock charging keeps a trickle current running through the cell even when it's full, and that sustained low-level charge degrades Li-ion capacity faster than normal cycling. Remove the robot from the dock once the charge light shows full, and only return it to dock when it needs charging. That single change is the most effective way to slow capacity loss on this battery.
