Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Plantronics CS60 / HL10 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B511007)
This is a 3.7V, 180mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Plantronics CS60 wireless DECT headset and the HL10 handset lifter accessory. It replaces OEM part numbers B511007, 452128, and 6535801. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to get through a standard call session.
- CS60 and HL10 compatibility: Both devices share this cell format — same 3.7V rail, same 30 × 19.70 × 4.00mm footprint, and the same BMS handshake protocol the base station uses to confirm a recognised pack before enabling the charging circuit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the CS60 base station. The BMS completed its handshake without errors, the charging indicator behaved normally, and the pack reached a stable 4.2V terminal voltage at full charge.
- First charge in the base station: Dock the headset in the CS60 base immediately after fitting this battery and let it run a full charge cycle before taking any calls. The base station needs that initial cycle to log the new cell — until it does, the talk-time indicator will not read accurately.
Base station not recognising a freshly installed pack
The CS60 base uses a BMS handshake to verify the battery before it enables the charging circuit. A new cell shipped in storage-voltage state — typically around 3.6V — can sit just below the threshold the base expects on first dock. If the charge light does not come on or shows an error, remove the headset, wait 10 seconds, and re-dock. The base will retry the handshake and, in most cases, begin charging normally on the second attempt.
Headset cutting out mid-call on a new battery
The CS60 draws simultaneously from the audio circuit and the DECT radio transmitter during a live call. On a cell that has not completed its first few charge cycles, that combined load can pull the terminal voltage low enough to trigger the BMS low-voltage cutoff. The headset goes silent — not because the battery is faulty, but because the cell has not yet reached its rated capacity. Run three to five full charge-and-use cycles and the cutoff threshold will stop being hit under normal call load.

Frequently Asked Questions
My CS60 base shows a full charge but the headset cuts off after just a few minutes — what's happening?
A cell shipped at storage voltage needs one complete charge cycle in the base before it behaves normally. The base reads the voltage and reports full, but the usable capacity is not there yet until the cell is properly initialised. Dock the headset, let it charge uninterrupted until the indicator confirms a full cycle, then test on a call. After that first full cycle the cutoff should stop occurring.
The headset feels warm during long calls — is the battery causing it?
The CS60 housing is compact, and during extended calls the audio circuit and DECT radio run together inside a very small space. That sustained combined draw generates heat the housing cannot shed quickly. It is normal for the headset to feel warm — not hot — under those conditions. If it becomes too hot to hold comfortably, check that the charging contacts and docking cradle are clean, as a resistive connection increases heat at the cell level.
Talk time is noticeably shorter than rated for the first few days after fitting the new battery — is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong. Li-Polymer cells need three to five full charge-and-discharge cycles to reach their rated capacity. On cycle one the cell delivers less than its 180mAh spec — that is normal cell chemistry, not a defect. Run the headset until it cuts off on low battery, dock it for a full charge, and repeat. By cycle four or five the talk time will be consistent with the rated capacity.
