Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Liquid Z110 Dou / Z2 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BA-Z1-001)
This 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion cell replaces OEM part numbers BA-Z1-001 and BA-Z1-003 in the Acer Liquid Z110 Dou, Z110, Liquid Z2, and Liquid Z2 Dual smartphones. It is a direct swap for an aged or swollen original cell that no longer holds a functional charge. Capacity matches OEM spec at 1300mAh (4.81Wh).
- Z110 and Z2 platform compatibility: Both the Z110 and Z2 lines share the same battery bay dimensions (64.95 × 43.98 × 4.20mm), connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell covers both series. Swapping between models is not required; the shared architecture simply means one replacement SKU covers the full range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on Z110 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and the protection circuit responded to simulated over-discharge at the expected cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After fitting this replacement, run the phone from 100% down to automatic shutdown without interruption, then charge uninterrupted to full. The Z110's fuel gauge IC calibrates its coulomb counter against that first complete discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage readout to drift significantly in daily use.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Liquid Z110 after a cell swap
A new cell has a slightly different voltage-discharge curve than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC originally mapped itself to. When the phone hits a load spike — modem switching, screen at full brightness, or a background sync — the cell voltage sags below the protection threshold momentarily even though the reported percentage looks healthy. The BMS reads an undervoltage event and cuts power before the OS can react. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted full charge lets the IC remap its internal curve to the new cell, after which the low-percentage shutdowns stop.
Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 1–3% per month in storage. If this cell shipped or sat installed without use for several months, the cell voltage may have dropped below 2.5V per cell — the threshold at which the BMS locks out charge acceptance to prevent unsafe recovery charging. Plugging directly into a wall charger often shows no response at all. To recover, connect to a charger and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes; most BMS circuits include a trickle pre-charge mode that slowly raises voltage to 2.9–3.0V before allowing normal charge current to flow. Once the LED or screen shows any charging indicator, the BMS has accepted the cell and normal charging will complete.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Liquid Z110 shows 25% battery and just shuts off — why does this keep happening with the new cell?
This is a voltage-cliff shutdown. The new cell's discharge curve doesn't match what the Z110's fuel gauge IC has mapped from the old cell, so the percentage readout is wrong — the phone thinks it has 25% left but the actual cell voltage collapses under modem or screen load. Run the phone from a full charge down to automatic shutdown without plugging in, then charge straight to 100% without interruption. That single full cycle lets the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell's actual curve, and the premature shutdowns stop.
Battery percentage is jumping around erratically after I fitted the replacement — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The Z110's fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it built from your original degraded cell, so it misreads the new cell's state of charge and the percentage jumps. Complete one uninterrupted discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, then charge to full without unplugging. The IC rewrites its internal reference curve during that cycle. If the percentage is still erratic after two full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a loose pin causes the IC to lose coulomb-counting continuity.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell. The Z110's charge IC pushes constant current into the cell until it reaches 4.2V, and internal resistance on a fresh cell converts more of that energy to heat than an aged cell would. This settles after three to five full charge cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops. If the phone feels hot to the touch — not just warm — or if charging stops before reaching 100%, check that nothing is blocking airflow around the battery compartment and avoid charging on a soft surface during those first cycles.
