Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Liquid Z3 / Z130 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (VK365072AR)
This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion cell for the Acer Liquid Z3, Z130, Liquid Z130 Duo, and Liquid Z3 Dual SIM smartphones. It cross-references OEM part numbers VK365072AR, AP32 (1ICP4/40/72), and KT.0010K.005. If your original cell is swelling, draining fast, or refusing to hold charge, this is the direct swap.
- Z3 and Z130 platform fit: The Z3, Z130, Liquid Z130 Duo, and Z3 Dual SIM all share the same battery bay dimensions (75.80 × 49.80 × 4.10mm), connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. One cell covers the full range without any modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a Z130 unit. The BMS accepted charge current correctly, the protection circuit tripped at the expected low-voltage cutoff, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking state of charge from the first cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable any fast-charge setting and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current. The Z3's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to your old cell's discharge curve — one slow cycle lets it map the new cell before normal use resumes.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Liquid Z3 after a cell swap
The Liquid Z3 uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge that retains the discharge curve of the previous cell in memory. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks brightness, current draw spikes and the new cell's actual voltage drops below the threshold the gauge expects — triggering an emergency shutdown even though the reported percentage still looks reasonable. This is not a faulty cell; it's a calibration mismatch. Run one complete discharge to 3.0V and a full charge back to 4.2V without interruption. After that cycle, the gauge recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.
Phone feels warm near the battery during the first charge after replacement
A new Li-ion cell fresh from storage has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled. The Liquid Z3's charge IC compensates by running slightly higher voltage at the contacts, which generates more heat until impedance drops after the first full cycle. This is normal and temporary — surface temperature should stay below 40°C. If the phone stays hot past the second charge cycle, check that the replacement cell dimensions match (75.80 × 49.80 × 4.10mm) and that the connector is fully seated with no bent pins.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Acer Liquid Z3 won't turn on after sitting unused for a few months — is the new battery dead already?
It's almost certainly a BMS lockout, not a dead cell. Li-ion cells left discharged in storage can drop below 2.5V per cell, and the protection circuit locks out to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 30–45 minutes before pressing the power button. If the charge IC detects enough voltage to start a recovery charge, the BMS will re-initialise and the phone will boot normally. If there is still no response after an hour on charge, check the connector seating and confirm the charger is delivering at least 5V.
The battery percentage on my Liquid Z3 jumps around erratically — it shows 60%, drops to 15%, then jumps back up.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve after a replacement. The old calibration data stored on the Z3 does not match the voltage-to-capacity relationship of the new cell, so the reported percentage swings wherever the lookup table points. Run two full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycles — drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without unplugging early. After both cycles, the coulomb counter builds an accurate map of the new cell and the jumping stops.
Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the replacement cell — the phone just charges slowly now.
The Liquid Z3's charge IC re-evaluates the connected cell on the first cycle and defaults to a conservative 0.5C current if it cannot confirm BMS handshake parameters match expectations. This is a protective fallback, not a fault with the cell. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle, let the phone discharge normally to around 10%, then charge again — the charge IC typically accepts the full current profile on the second or third cycle once it has logged cell response data. Fast charging should resume without any settings change.
