Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung SPH-M330 / SPH-M350 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB424255VA)
This is a 3.7V, 940mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Samsung SPH-M330, SPH-M340, SPH-M350, and Seek SPH-M350, among other compatible models. It replaces OEM part numbers EB424255VA, EB424255VU, EB424255VABSTD, and EB424255VUCSTD. The cell matches original dimensions at 54.72 × 41.58 × 4.12mm and seats directly in the factory battery bay.
- SPH-M330 / M340 / M350 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake is consistent across the series, so one cell covers all listed variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the SPH-M350. The BMS handled charge termination cleanly at 4.2V, and protection cutoff triggered correctly at low-voltage threshold without latching.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use, disable any power-saving modes and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the OS reports capacity accurately.
Why the SPH-M330 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC in the SPH-M330 uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell behaviour. The phone reads voltage and translates it to a percentage using outdated reference data, so the number on screen drifts from reality. One full uninterrupted discharge down to auto-shutoff, followed by a full charge to 4.2V, resets the reference and brings the percentage back in line.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the modem transmits or the screen backlight spikes current draw, causing cell voltage to sag below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the gauge shows charge remaining. A fresh cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC makes this worse — the OS thinks 25% remains, but cell voltage has already dropped to the 3.0V cutoff zone under load. The fix is the same full recalibration cycle: discharge to auto-shutoff, charge fully. After one cycle, the gauge IC anchors its low-voltage warning to a more accurate state-of-charge point, and premature shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SPH-M330 shows 30% battery and then shuts off instantly — is the new cell defective?
The cell is not defective. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from the old battery, so it reports 30% while the actual cell voltage has already sagged below the BMS cutoff under modem or display load. Run one complete discharge to auto-shutoff and then charge uninterrupted to 4.2V. After that single calibration cycle, the percentage reading and the shutdown point will align correctly.
The phone won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what happened?
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent cell damage. The phone will not respond to the power button while BMS lockout is active. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point the battery will accept a normal charge.
Why does the phone feel warm near the battery during the first few charges after swapping the cell?
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the initial charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC on the SPH-M350 series pushes current into the cell at a fixed rate, and a higher internal resistance means more energy converts to heat before the cell settles. This typically reduces after two or three full cycles as internal resistance drops. If the phone stays warm past the third full charge, check that no third-party charger is exceeding the 5V input spec.
