Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Aetertek AT-211 Mini / AT-215 / AT-216 / AT-218 — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery
This 7.4V 500mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the rechargeable battery inside Aetertek training collars, including the AT-211 Mini, AT-215, AT-216, and AT-218. It restores power to the collar's stimulus and receiver circuits after the original cell has faded from repeated charge cycles. Voltage and capacity match the OEM spec exactly.
- AT-211 Mini, AT-215, AT-216, AT-218 compatibility: These collars share the same 7.4V two-cell lithium-polymer architecture and physical battery bay dimensions — 48.00 × 22.50 × 12.00mm — so one cell fits across the range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the AT-211 Mini receiver unit. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and accepted a charge from the OEM cradle without fault codes or interrupted charging.
- Stimulus output after reinstall: If the collar powers on but delivers no stimulus or inconsistent output, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection on this collar's JST-style plug causes intermittent BMS communication errors, not a dead cell.
Why the AT-211 Mini stops responding mid-training session
The AT-211 Mini's receiver draws a short current spike each time a stimulus command fires. As the original cell ages and internal resistance climbs, that spike causes a momentary voltage drop that triggers the BMS undervoltage cutoff — even when the indicator shows charge remaining. The collar goes silent, and the transmitter shows no fault. Swapping to a fresh cell with lower internal resistance eliminates the sag. If the problem returns quickly after a new install, inspect the charging contacts on the collar body for corrosion before assuming a faulty cell.
Collar powers on but shuts off within seconds of first use after battery replacement
This happens when the replacement cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.7V per cell, or 7.4V combined — and the collar's BMS interprets that as a low-battery condition on first draw. The fix is straightforward: place the collar on the OEM charging cradle for a full charge cycle before use. Once the cell reaches 8.4V (4.2V per cell) the BMS clears the protection state and normal operation resumes. Do not attempt to bypass the cradle charging with a generic Li-Po charger — the collar's charge circuit regulates current specifically for a 500mAh cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
The collar beeps and shuts off seconds after a stimulus command — is that the battery?
Yes, almost always. The AT-211 Mini's BMS trips on the current spike from the stimulus output when the cell's internal resistance is high — even a partially charged old battery can't sustain the momentary draw. A fresh cell at full charge (8.4V) eliminates the trip. Charge the new battery completely before the first training session.
My dog's collar drains noticeably faster outdoors during longer sessions than it does sitting in the house — why?
The collar's receiver circuit draws more current when it's actively scanning for transmitter signals over distance, especially if you're working at the outer edge of the system's range. The 500mAh cell is sized for normal intermittent use — sustained long-range sessions pull a higher continuous current and deplete it faster. Keep sessions within the collar's rated range and allow a full recharge between longer outdoor sessions rather than topping up mid-session, which contributes to shallow-cycle capacity fade.
After fitting the new battery, the transmitter and collar won't pair — they paired fine before I opened the collar.
Power cycling during a battery swap clears the collar receiver's active pairing state on some Aetertek units. Re-pair them using the button sequence in your transmitter manual — typically hold the transmitter's pairing button while powering the collar on within five seconds. If the collar still won't pair, confirm the battery connector is fully clicked in, as a loose JST connection causes the receiver circuit to drop in and out before the handshake completes.
