Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dogtra EF3000 Gold / iQ Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BP37F)
This 3.7V, 300mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the OEM BP37F and BP37R cells in Dogtra EF3000 Gold and iQ series dog training collars. It fits the EF3000 Gold containment system collar, the iQ, and the iQ Plus remote training collar. Capacity figure is taken directly from the product specification — 300mAh (1.11Wh).
- EF3000 Gold and iQ collar compatibility: These collars share the same compact Li-Polymer cell format, voltage rail, and connector footprint. The BP37F and BP37R are interchangeable part numbers for the same physical cell used across this platform, so one replacement covers both designations.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the EF3000 Gold collar. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, stimulation output engaged normally, and the charge circuit brought the cell to full voltage without thermal events.
- Collar stimulation output after reinstallation: If the collar was left depleted for an extended period, the stimulation and tone functions may not respond immediately after reinstall. Allow a full charge cycle to complete before testing output levels — the protection circuit needs a complete charge to re-establish correct operating thresholds.
Why the EF3000 Gold collar shows no stimulation output after a battery swap
The EF3000 Gold uses an internal protection circuit that monitors cell voltage before enabling the stimulation output stage. If the replacement cell ships at a low state of charge — common with Li-Polymer cells stored in transit — the collar's controller may read insufficient voltage and hold the output stage inactive. This is not a collar fault. Connect the collar to the OEM charger and allow it to reach a full charge before testing. Once cell voltage reaches the correct operating threshold, stimulation and tone functions will activate normally.
Collar not responding to the remote transmitter after reinstalling the battery
A power interruption caused by removing the battery can cause the collar to lose its paired link with the transmitter. The collar receiver re-initialises from scratch on first power-up, and the transmitter does not automatically re-establish the link. To fix this, power down both units, then follow the pairing sequence in the EF3000 Gold manual — hold the transmitter and receiver buttons simultaneously until the indicator confirms a link. Confirm the collar responds to a low-level stimulation command before use.

Frequently Asked Questions
The EF3000 Gold collar charged fully but the stimulation output feels weaker than it used to — is that the battery?
Yes, Li-Polymer cells lose usable capacity after repeated charge cycles, and a degraded cell cannot sustain the voltage the output stage needs under load. The collar's stimulation circuit draws a short, sharp current pulse — an aged cell sags in voltage during that pulse, which reduces perceived output intensity. Replacing the BP37F cell restores the full voltage headroom the output stage requires. After installing a fresh cell, run a complete charge cycle before testing output levels.
The collar battery drains noticeably faster in large open fields than it does at home — what causes that?
The EF3000 Gold transmits at higher power when the receiver collar is at distance or when signal path is obstructed by terrain or vegetation. The collar receiver's RF circuitry also draws more current maintaining a reliable link over longer range. This is normal behaviour — the RF link actively adjusts power to stay connected. To extend working time in open or rural conditions, keep the transmitter within the recommended operating range and avoid unnecessary stimulation bursts that add to the draw.
After fitting the new battery, the collar powers on but the transmitter shows no link and won't pair — what's the fix?
Removing the battery resets the collar's receiver firmware to an unpaired state. The transmitter does not automatically detect the collar on power-up — both units need to go through the pairing sequence together. Power off both the collar and transmitter completely, then hold both pairing buttons simultaneously as described in the EF3000 Gold manual until the LED confirms a successful link. Once paired, send a test command at the lowest stimulation level to confirm the link is active before starting a session.
