Agfa 4Ti — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Agfa 4Ti digital camera. It slots into the same battery compartment as the original cell and powers the camera's image capture and processing functions. Capacity is 600mAh (2.22Wh) — identical to the factory spec.

The 4Ti's battery indicator maps remaining charge against a voltage-threshold curve calibrated during the first charge cycle. A new cell that hasn't completed that cycle presents a slightly different discharge profile, so the camera misreads position on the curve. The indicator can jump from 80% to 40% or skip steps entirely. One full charge cycle from flat to full — inside the camera or OEM charger — lets the BMS recalibrate and the readout stabilises.

This happens when the replacement cell has rested at a low state of charge during storage and its open-circuit voltage has dropped below the camera's low-battery detection threshold — typically around 3.4V on a 3.7V nominal cell. The camera reads that as a depleted or faulty battery and refuses to boot. Place the cell in the OEM charger for 15–20 minutes to bring it above 3.5V, then reinsert it. The camera should power on normally from that point.
