Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel IP Touch 310 / 610 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V 1800mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Alcatel IP Touch 310, IP Touch 610, IP Touch Wireless-LAN 310, and IP Touch Wireless-LAN 610 cordless handsets. It fits the same bay, uses the same connector orientation, and runs at the rated voltage these handsets expect from their charging circuits.
- IP Touch 310 and 610 platform fit: Both the standard and Wireless-LAN variants share the same battery bay dimensions and 3.7V single-cell Li-ion architecture. The connector pinout and BMS voltage thresholds are identical across the four listed models, so one battery services the full range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the IP Touch platform. The BMS accepted charge from the base station without fault, held the 3.7V nominal rail through transmission bursts, and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold without triggering a handset error state.
- First-charge protocol for Li-ion cordless packs: Place the handset in the base immediately after installing the battery and leave it for a full uninterrupted charge before making calls. Li-ion cells shipped at partial state-of-charge need one complete cycle to let the BMS calibrate its capacity tracking accurately.
Why the IP Touch 310 loses range when the battery ages
The DECT radio module in the IP Touch 310 draws a short high-current burst each time it transmits. An aged or low-capacity Li-ion cell sags in voltage during that burst, dropping below the threshold the RF front-end needs to maintain full transmit power. The handset compensates by reducing output, which cuts effective range before the battery shows any other sign of failure. Replacing the cell restores the voltage headroom the transmitter needs to hold a stable link across the office.
Base station shows no charging activity after fitting a new battery
Li-ion cells shipped from storage often sit at around 3.0–3.2V. Some IP Touch base stations read a voltage this low as a fault condition and refuse to initiate a charge cycle. If the charging indicator does not activate within a few minutes of seating the handset, remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, and re-seat it — this resets the base station's detection circuit. If the problem persists, check that the battery contacts on the handset are clean and making firm contact, then re-seat and confirm voltage reads at least 3.0V before placing in the base.

Frequently Asked Questions
My IP Touch 310 talk time is much shorter than it used to be — will a new battery fix this, or is something else draining it?
A degraded Li-ion cell is the most common cause of shortened talk time on the IP Touch 310. As Li-ion cells age, their usable capacity drops even if the handset still shows a full charge indicator — the BMS can no longer track accurately against a worn cell. Replacing the battery restores rated capacity. If talk time is still short after two full charge-discharge cycles on the new pack, check that the handset is fully seated in the base during charging, as a partially engaged contact will undercharge the cell.
My IP Touch 310 lost its base station pairing after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?
Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT phones clear their registration data when power drops completely. The IP Touch 310 can lose its pairing with the base in this situation. To re-register, place the base in pairing mode by pressing the page or registration button on the base unit, then follow the handset's on-screen registration menu. The process takes under two minutes and does not require any network administrator access.
The handset battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — what's causing that?
This is a seating issue, not a battery fault. The IP Touch 310 base charges through contact pins on the back of the handset, and if the handset is not fully clicked into the cradle, the pins do not make consistent contact. Remove the handset, inspect the charging contacts on both the handset and the base for dust or oxidation, and clean them with a dry cloth. Re-seat the handset firmly until it sits flush in the cradle, then confirm the charging indicator activates within 60 seconds.
