Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel One Touch Go Flip — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLi013C1)
The TLi013C1 is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1200mAh (4.44Wh), built to replace the original battery in the Alcatel One Touch Go Flip and related flip phone models. It fits the OT-4043S, OT-4044T, and OT-4044N, among others. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge through a normal day of calls and messaging.
- Go Flip platform fit: The OT-4043S, OT-4044T, and OT-4044N share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. All use the TLi013C1 form factor — 57.65 x 42.82 x 4.80mm — with the same 3.7V nominal voltage rail and BMS communication protocol across the lineup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Go Flip unit. The BMS handshake initialised correctly, charge termination triggered at the expected cutoff voltage, and the protection circuit responded cleanly to over-discharge conditions.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutoff, then charge fully without interruption. The fuel gauge IC on the Go Flip calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve on that first full cycle — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings.
Why the Go Flip reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Go Flip's fuel gauge IC builds its charge model from the previous cell's discharge history stored in firmware. When a new cell goes in, that model no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The IC keeps using the old curve, so the percentage shown on screen drifts from the true state of charge. One full discharge-to-shutoff followed by a complete uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter and aligns the gauge to the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under the load of an active call or screen wake — a voltage cliff the fuel gauge didn't predict. The gauge shows 20–30% because it was tracking average voltage, not the cell's behaviour under peak draw. At that load spike, voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold and the phone shuts off instantly. To confirm the cell is healthy, check resting voltage with a meter — a good cell at 30% charge should read approximately 3.6–3.7V at rest.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Go Flip won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
The BMS locks out the cell when voltage drops below roughly 2.5V during storage, which blocks normal power-on entirely. This is a protection state, not a failed cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. If the BMS recovers, the charging indicator will appear and the phone will boot normally once voltage climbs above the minimum threshold.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC pushes current into a cell with higher internal resistance, and that resistance converts some energy to heat. It should decrease noticeably after three to five full cycles. If the phone stays hot throughout charging after that break-in period, check that the charger output matches the rated input — use a 5V/1A adapter, not a higher-output USB-PD brick.
Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement battery — my old cell charged quickly but this one doesn't.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell may not complete the handshake required for the phone's charge IC to authorise higher current. The Go Flip defaults to standard 5V/1A charging when that negotiation fails. Run one full standard charge cycle to completion without interrupting it — this lets the BMS and charge IC complete their initialisation exchange. After that first cycle, fast charging typically resumes on the second charge.
