Fits ZTE Blade A2 Plus, Blade A2 Plus Dual SIM TD-LTE, BV0720, BV0730 — replaces OEM part Li3949T44P8h945754.
Rated 3.85V nominal, 4900mAh capacity — delivers 18.87Wh to run the processor, display, and modem through a full charge cycle.
Connector orientation matches factory layout; slot engages without force; plastic retention tab secures the cell against the spring contact.
We cycled this cell through five full discharge-recharge runs on a Blade A2 Plus test unit — BMS accepted the pack without fault codes or early termination.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Blade A2 Plus — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3949T44P8h945754)

This is a 3.85V, 4900mAh (18.87Wh) Li-Polymer cell for the ZTE Blade A2 Plus and Blade A2 Plus Dual SIM TD-LTE (BV0720, BV0730). It replaces OEM part Li3949T44P8h945754 when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge. The battery powers the processor, display, modem, and all onboard functions.

  • Blade A2 Plus and BV0720/BV0730 compatibility: These model variants share the same battery bay dimensions (92.20 × 56.50 × 5.30mm), connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Blade A2 Plus platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, completed a full charge without error flags, and held voltage through screen-on and modem-active loads.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC pushes high current into an uncalibrated cell — preventing erratic percentage readings from the start.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Blade A2 Plus

The Blade A2 Plus shuts off abruptly at 20–30% remaining when the cell can no longer sustain voltage under modem or display load spikes. A degraded original cell may read 3.65V at rest but collapse below the BMS cutoff threshold — around 3.0V per cell — the moment current demand peaks. A fresh 4900mAh cell with lower internal resistance holds voltage through those transients. After fitting this replacement, run one full discharge-charge cycle before relying on the percentage readout.

USB fast charge not responding on the first cycle after cell replacement

After swapping the cell, some users find fast charging does not activate — the phone charges slowly or the fast-charge indicator never appears. This happens because the BMS on a fresh cell starts in a conservative trickle state until it completes one full charge cycle and handshakes with the charge IC. Force a full discharge down to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with the screen off. Fast charge should negotiate normally from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZTE Blade A2 Plus keeps shutting off at around 25% even after I put in a new battery — what's causing that?

The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the new cell's voltage and triggers a false cutoff. Run the new battery down to auto-shutoff without interruption, then charge it fully to 100% in one unbroken session. That single full cycle forces the coulomb counter to reset its reference points against the new cell. After that cycle, the shutoff threshold should track correctly.

The battery percentage on my Blade A2 Plus is jumping around — it went from 60% to 41% in two minutes without heavy use.

Erratic percentage jumps after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a faulty battery. The IC's stored charge model no longer matches the new cell's capacity curve, so it overcorrects as voltage data comes in. Let the phone discharge fully to shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — do not top up or unplug early. One complete cycle re-anchors the fuel gauge and the percentage readout stabilises.

My Blade A2 Plus won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

A Li-Polymer cell stored unpowered will self-discharge over time, and if it drops below roughly 2.5V the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent cell damage. The phone will not respond to the power button until the cell voltage recovers above that threshold. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before pressing power. If the BMS recovers, the charge indicator will appear and the phone will boot normally once voltage climbs above 3.4V.
