Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Anycool W02 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V 1050mAh Li-ion battery for the Anycool W02 mobile phone. It replaces the original cell when the existing battery no longer holds a charge or fails entirely. At 53.00 x 33.90 x 5.60mm, it matches the physical footprint of the factory-installed unit.
- W02 platform fit: The W02 uses a compact single-cell Li-ion configuration at 3.7V nominal. The connector pinout and cell dimensions on this replacement match that layout directly — no adapter or modification needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge and charge sequence, monitoring BMS cutoff behaviour at both ends. The protection circuit triggered correctly at low voltage and the cell accepted charge current without fault flags.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this replacement, disable any fast-charge option and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map its readings against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated reference.
Why the W02 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The W02's fuel gauge IC stores a charge curve calibrated to the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The OS reads voltage from the gauge and translates it using the old curve, producing percentage figures that are off — sometimes significantly. One full discharge down to auto-shutdown followed by a complete charge cycle forces the IC to relearn the curve against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under the load of the modem or screen backlight — a voltage cliff the fuel gauge did not predict. The gauge shows 20–30% remaining but the cell voltage has already fallen below the BMS cutoff threshold under that transient load. It is not a faulty battery; it is a calibration gap. After one full reference cycle, the gauge recalibrates its cutoff estimate and the shutdowns stop. If they continue past two full cycles, check that the battery contacts are clean and seated flat.

Frequently Asked Questions
The W02 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few months — is the cell dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out because the cell discharged below 2.5V during storage. The protection circuit cuts all output at that threshold to prevent cell damage. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release the lockout. Once the phone shows a charging indicator, it can be powered on normally.
The percentage on the W02 jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, then drops to 40% in seconds without heavy use. What's causing that?
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and its voltage estimates are unreliable until it has a full reference cycle. Each partial charge or interrupted discharge adds noise to the model. Run the phone from 100% down to auto-shutdown without interruption, then charge it to 100% in one continuous session. After that single complete cycle the jumping settles as the coulomb counter has a clean baseline to work from.
The W02 feels noticeably warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is the charge IC overloading it?
Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is normal. A fresh high-impedance cell causes the charge IC to work slightly harder pushing current through higher internal resistance than it saw with the worn original. The heat reduces as the cell conditions over two to three cycles and internal resistance drops. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or shuts down during charging, remove it from charge immediately and inspect the battery contacts for any debris causing a poor connection.
