Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ROG G751J Series — 15V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A42N1403)
This is a 15V Li-ion battery rated at 5200mAh (78Wh), replacing part number A42N1403 in Asus ROG G751J series gaming laptops. It fits the G751J, G751JM, ROG GFX71JY, G751J-BHI7T25, and over 30 additional variants. Install it when the original cell no longer sustains a charge under gaming or CPU-heavy load.
- G751J platform compatibility: The G751 series shares a four-cell 15V architecture across its variants. The A42N1403 connector, BMS handshake, and voltage rail are consistent across G751J, G751JM, and GFX71JY boards — one cell fits all listed models without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a G751JM and confirmed the BMS completed a full charge cycle without tripping overcurrent cutoff. Charge acceptance was stable from 0V recovery through to 16.8V termination voltage.
- Post-install calibration on the G751J: After fitting, discharge the laptop fully to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
Why the G751J BIOS reports poor battery health immediately after a cell swap
The G751J stores charge history and wear data in EEPROM on the battery pack itself. When a new cell is installed, the BIOS reads that EEPROM data as blank or mismatched and flags the battery as degraded. This is a data mismatch, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate then a clean uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the learn cycle data and resolves the warning. After two or three full cycles, BIOS-reported health should stabilise at normal levels.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% shown on the Windows gauge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. The IC is still using the old cell's voltage-to-capacity mapping, so it misreads the cutoff point. Under full GPU and CPU load, the cell hits its minimum sustain voltage before the gauge reaches 0%. Run two full discharge cycles — discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge fully to 100% each time — and the fuel gauge IC will recalibrate its endpoint to the correct voltage floor of approximately 12V for this 15V cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My G751J BIOS is showing the new battery as "unknown" or giving a 0% health reading straight after install — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The G751J reads charge history from EEPROM data stored on the battery pack, and a fresh cell has no history for the BIOS to read, so it flags the battery as unknown or worn. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff followed by a complete uninterrupted charge to 100%. That resets the BIOS learn cycle and clears the erroneous health flag within one to two cycles.
Windows is showing the replacement battery at 78Wh but the Asus system info panel is displaying a different Wh figure — which one is correct?
The Asus system panel reads the rated Wh value stored in the battery's EEPROM at manufacture, while Windows pulls the figure from the fuel gauge IC as it measures actual charge acceptance. On a new cell, those two values won't match until the IC has calibrated against real charge and discharge data. The 78Wh figure in the product data is the correct rated capacity for this cell. After two full charge cycles, the system panel and Windows gauge should converge to a consistent reading.
The replacement battery charges fine but the charge stops between 79–82% and won't go higher — is the charger the issue?
The charger is not the issue. Asus BIOS on the G751 series includes a firmware-controlled charge limit that caps charging at approximately 80% when Battery Health Charging mode is active in MyASUS or AI Suite. This is a deliberate BIOS setting, not a fault with the cell. Open MyASUS, navigate to Battery Health Charging, and switch the mode to Full Capacity Mode — the battery will then charge to 100%.
