This 11.52V, 3600mAh (41.47Wh) Li-Polymer battery fits the Asus VivoBook 15 S510UQ and related X510 series notebooks. It replaces OEM part numbers B31Bi9H, B31N1637, and 0B200-02590000 among others. If your original cell no longer holds a charge or your laptop dies unexpectedly during use, this is the direct replacement.
- S510 and X510 series compatibility: The S510UQ, X510UR-3B, and X510UN-1A share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. All three models use the B31N1637 cell specification with an identical 3-cell configuration, so one part covers the full lineup.

The gauge reports 20–30% remaining, but the cell voltage has already dropped below the load-sustain threshold under combined CPU and display draw. Why does Windows show the new battery as 0% or "unknown" right after installation on my S510UQ?
The fuel gauge IC on the S510UQ mainboard reads capacity data from the old cell's EEPROM profile, and a freshly fitted cell has no matching history yet. Until the IC runs at least one full calibration cycle, Windows reports 0% or flags the battery as unknown. Plug in the charger immediately after fitting the new cell, let it charge uninterrupted to 100%, then run it down to hibernate — after that first cycle the gauge registers correctly.
The Wh rating shown in Windows battery report doesn't match the 41.47Wh spec — is the battery faulty?
It is not faulty. The EEPROM on a new cell carries a rated design capacity value that may differ slightly from the actual chemistry measured under real load. Windows pulls the Wh figure from that EEPROM field, not from a live measurement. After two or three full discharge and charge cycles, the fuel gauge IC updates its model and the reported Wh value stabilises closer to the actual 41.47Wh spec.
Charge stops at around 80% and won't go higher — is the new cell defective?
This is almost always the Asus Battery Health Charging feature in MyASUS or the BIOS, not a cell fault. Asus ships many VivoBook models with a charge limit preset to 80% to reduce long-term cell stress when the laptop sits plugged in most of the time. Open MyASUS, go to Battery Health Charging, and switch the mode from "Balanced" to "Maximum" — the charge ceiling moves back to 100% immediately.
