Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus VivoBook Flip TP510 Series — 11.52V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (0B200-02720000)
This is an 11.52V, 3600mAh (41.47Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the Asus VivoBook Flip TP510 series — a 2-in-1 convertible laptop with a 360-degree rotating touchscreen. It fits the TP510UA, TP510UQ-1A, TP510UA-E8148T, and over 49 additional TP510 variants. OEM part numbers are 0B200-02720000 and B31N1708.
- TP510 series compatibility: Every TP510 variant listed uses the same three-cell configuration, 11.52V nominal rail, and matching connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the UA and UQ sub-models, so one cell fits the full lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a TP510UA. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes, held the full 11.52V nominal, and charge termination triggered correctly at capacity ceiling. No thermal events or cutoff anomalies were observed.
- Post-install calibration on the TP510: After fitting, run the laptop down until it hibernates from low battery, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears immediately after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The TP510 BIOS reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS compares its fresh EEPROM data against the degradation history it expected to see — the mismatch triggers a false "poor health" or "replace battery" warning. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. One complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the learn cycle. After two to three full cycles the fuel gauge IC calibrates against the new cell and the warning clears.
VivoBook Flip shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the cell can no longer sustain voltage under combined CPU and display load — the voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge reaches zero. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to an older, degraded cell, so its percentage reading is no longer accurate against actual cell voltage. Run one full discharge cycle to hibernate-cutoff on the new cell to give the fuel gauge IC a clean baseline. After calibration the percentage readout and shutdown point will align — shutdowns should stop occurring above 10–15%.

Frequently Asked Questions
My TP510 shows the new battery as 0% or "unknown" in Windows — is it dead on arrival?
It is not a fault with the cell. The Windows fuel gauge IC is still referencing EEPROM data from the old battery and has not yet calibrated against the new one. Discharge the laptop fully until it hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one to two complete cycles the fuel gauge reads the new cell correctly and the 0% or unknown status clears.
The TP510 BIOS shows the Wh rating as lower than 41.47Wh after I replaced the battery — why?
The BIOS pulls the Wh figure from the cell's EEPROM, which stores the rated capacity at manufacture. If the EEPROM value was written for a slightly different chemistry revision, the BIOS will display that stored number rather than the actual 41.47Wh of the replacement cell. This is an EEPROM data difference, not a capacity defect. Run the battery learn cycle — full discharge to hibernate then charge to 100% — and the BIOS will update its reported value against the new cell's actual output.
Charging stops at around 80% and won't go higher on my VivoBook Flip TP510 — is the replacement cell faulty?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Asus firmware on several TP510 variants includes a battery health charging mode that caps charge at 80% to reduce cell stress during long plug-in sessions. Open Asus Battery Health Charging from MyAsus or the Asus system tray utility and switch the mode from "Balanced" or "Maximum Lifespan" to "Full Capacity." The cell will then charge to 100%.
