Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenWatch 2 WI501QF Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C11N1540)
This 3.8V, 360mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original C11N1540 battery in the Asus ZenWatch 2 WI501QF, WI501Q, and WI501QF. It restores power to the watch's display, notifications, heart rate monitoring, and Bluetooth connectivity. Dimensions are 38.23 × 25.24 × 3.90mm — confirm these against your existing cell before fitting.
- ZenWatch 2 WI501Q and WI501QF compatibility: Both models run the same 3.8V power rail with the same flex connector and BMS handshake, so one cell covers the full WI501Q lineup. The OEM part numbers C11N1540 and 0B200-01630100 refer to the same physical cell.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the ZenWatch 2 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without faults, and the fuel gauge IC registered voltage correctly after a full charge cycle from near-zero.
- Post-swap charging on the ZenWatch 2: After fitting, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use. The fuel gauge IC on this platform loses its reference point when the cell is swapped — it cannot re-calibrate without a full charge cycle starting from near-zero. Skipping this step causes the percentage readout to behave erratically for days.
Why the ZenWatch 2 charge percentage jumps or reads wrong after a cell swap
The ZenWatch 2 uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state relative to a stored reference. Removing the old cell wipes that reference entirely. When you fit a new cell and power on without completing a full charge cycle first, the IC is estimating from a blank slate and will display incorrect percentages — sometimes jumping from 80% to 20% mid-use. A single full charge from near-zero resets the reference and stabilises the readout within one to two cycles.
Watch not pairing to phone after battery replacement
Removing power during a battery swap terminates the active Bluetooth Low Energy session between the watch and the paired phone. The watch comes back up with a new session ID, and the phone's Bluetooth stack still expects the old one. On the phone, go to Bluetooth settings, forget the ZenWatch 2 entirely, then re-pair from scratch through the Asus ZenWatch app. Do not attempt to reconnect from the Bluetooth quick-settings panel — use the app's pairing flow to rebuild the full connection profile.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZenWatch 2 shows 0% and won't turn on right after I fitted the new battery — is the cell dead?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC lost its charge reference when the old battery was removed, so it has no baseline and defaults to zero. Place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately without pressing the power button, and leave it until it reaches 100%. Once it completes that first full charge cycle, it will power on and read correctly.
New battery fitted, but the watch is draining to empty within a day — what's pulling that much current?
Always-on display combined with continuous heart rate monitoring is the primary draw on the ZenWatch 2, and this combination pulls significantly more current on a new cell until the fuel gauge IC re-calibrates. Check your display settings first — switching from always-on to raise-to-wake cuts screen-on time substantially. If drain continues after the first two full charge cycles, disable continuous heart rate monitoring in the ZenWatch app and check whether a background app is holding a persistent Bluetooth connection.
The magnetic charger clicks into place but the watch isn't actually charging after the swap — charge percentage stays flat.
The magnetic pogo pins on the charger need direct contact with the pads on the watch case. Reassembly sometimes shifts the back cover slightly, raising or tilting the contact pads by half a millimetre — enough to break the circuit even when the magnet holds. Remove the charger, inspect the contact pads on both the watch and charger for debris, then reseat the charger and confirm the charging indicator appears on screen within 10 seconds. If it still shows no charge, gently press the charger slightly off-centre in each direction while watching for the indicator to appear.
