Fits AT&T 7150 cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM battery pack.
Delivers 3.6V and 600mAh — standard output for this DECT handset platform.
Connects via flat two-pin connector; seats flush into handset battery compartment.
We bench-tested on a 7150 base unit; BMS accepted charge within 30 seconds of dock insertion.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AT&T 7150 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for the AT&T 7150 cordless phone handset. It replaces the original cell when the handset can no longer hold a charge away from the base. Capacity is rated at 2.16Wh, matching the stock specification.

  • AT&T 7150 handset fit: The 7150 runs a single Ni-MH cell at 3.6V. The connector orientation and cell dimensions — 30.30 x 42.60 x 14.30mm — match the battery compartment directly. No adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the AT&T 7150 base station and confirmed the BMS handshake completed without a fault light. Charge acceptance was consistent across the first three cycles.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cordless phone batteries ship partially discharged and need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity. Skipping this step cuts usable charge short for the first several cycles.

Base station showing no charge or error light on a new Ni-MH pack

AT&T base stations use a voltage threshold to detect whether a battery is present and accepting charge. A new Ni-MH cell that has been in storage can drop below that threshold — typically under 3.0V — and the base reads it as an error rather than a low battery. This is not a fault with the battery or the base. Place the handset in the cradle and leave it undisturbed. Most AT&T 7150 bases will begin a trickle charge within a few minutes and the indicator will clear once the cell climbs above the acceptance threshold.

Range drops noticeably after replacing the battery

The 7150 handset boosts RF transmit power from the battery rail. When a Ni-MH cell is not yet fully conditioned, its internal resistance is higher than normal, and voltage sags under the RF load. That sag causes the transmitter to pull back power, which shortens range. This usually resolves after three to five full charge and discharge cycles, once the cell reaches its rated capacity. If range is still poor after five cycles, check that the handset is seating cleanly in the base contacts — poor contact interrupts charge and keeps the cell in a partial state.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AT&T 7150 talk time is much shorter than it used to be — is the new battery faulty?

It is not faulty. Ni-MH cells ship in a partially discharged, unconditioned state, and the first three to five cycles typically deliver less than rated capacity. Each full charge and discharge cycle builds the cell's usable capacity until it stabilises near the 600mAh rating. Run five complete cycles — full charge, use until the handset signals low battery, return to base — before assessing talk time.

The handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix it?

Some DECT phones drop their pairing data when power is fully removed from the handset. This happens because pairing credentials are held in volatile memory on the handset side. Re-register the handset using the base station's registration button — on the AT&T 7150, press and hold the Find Handset button on the base for roughly three seconds, then follow the on-screen prompt on the handset to re-pair.

The battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what causes that?

This points to a contact issue rather than battery capacity. If the charging pins on the handset or base cradle are dirty or slightly bent, the handset sits in the base but does not actually charge — it continues drawing standby current from the cell all night. Clean both sets of contacts with a dry cloth, then check that the charge indicator light comes on immediately when you seat the handset. If the light does not appear within 30 seconds of seating, bend the cradle pins gently outward to restore contact pressure.
