Fits Siemens Gigaset 100, 200, A1, T11 handsets; replaces OEM part C39453-Z5-C193 and V30145-K1310-X147.
3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers standard talk and standby time across Gigaset cordless platform.
Battery slides into handset compartment with dual contact pins; no locking tab or orientation risk.
Bench testing showed normal BMS voltage acceptance on Gigaset base station; NiMH chemistry accepted without fault codes.
Place handset in base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH packs require slow initial charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Siemens Gigaset 100 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (C39453-Z5-C193)

This is a 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Siemens Gigaset cordless phone range. It fits the Gigaset 100, 200, A1, T11, and several related handsets that share the same battery bay and connector. Dimensions are 30.30 × 42.60 × 14.30mm — measure your existing cell before ordering if your model isn't listed.

  • Gigaset 100 / 200 / A1 / T11 compatibility: These handsets share a common 3.6V single-cell NiMH architecture with the same physical connector and bay dimensions, so one cell covers all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Gigaset base station, confirming the BMS accepted the NiMH voltage curve without triggering a charge fault or error indicator.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH handsets: After fitting, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cells from storage have suppressed capacity — skipping this slow charge means the first several cycles will underperform rated capacity.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

NiMH cells ship in a partially discharged state and need three to five full charge-discharge cycles to reach rated capacity. On the first cycle, you may see noticeably shorter talk time — this is a chemistry characteristic, not a fault with the cell. Each subsequent full cycle conditions the electrode structure further. By cycle four or five, capacity should be close to the rated 600mAh.

Base station shows no charge or error light after battery swap

A new NiMH cell stored for an extended period can drop to a voltage the Gigaset base station treats as a fault condition rather than a flat battery. The charger circuit expects to see a voltage above a minimum acceptance threshold before it begins the charge cycle. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly — this resets the charge controller. If the error persists, check the handset contacts are clean and making full contact with the base cradle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Gigaset handset is losing range after I fitted the new battery — is the replacement cell causing this?

Yes, this is likely a voltage sag issue during the first few cycles. NiMH cells fresh from storage don't hold their voltage under RF load until they're conditioned. Reduced transmit power under load shortens effective range. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles and range should recover as the cell reaches rated capacity.

The handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — what happened?

Some Gigaset DECT handsets store pairing data in volatile memory that resets when power is fully removed, which happens the moment you pull the battery. To re-pair, press and hold the paging button on the base station for three seconds, then register the handset through the handset menu — the exact steps are in your handset manual under "Registration."

The battery is draining flat overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what's wrong?

This usually means the handset isn't making solid electrical contact with the base cradle charging pins. Check that the handset is fully and evenly seated — a slight tilt can break contact. Clean the charging pins on both the handset and base with a dry cloth to remove any oxidation. After reseating, the charge indicator light should appear within 30 seconds; if it doesn't, inspect the pins for visible damage or corrosion.
