Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Audioline MT1000 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (MT1000)

This 3.7V Li-ion cell delivers 1200mAh (4.44Wh) to the Audioline MT1000 smartphone. It replaces the original battery when capacity has dropped or the cell no longer holds a charge. Dimensions are 53.20 × 34.00 × 5.70mm — verify against your existing cell before fitting.

  • MT1000 platform fit: The MT1000 runs a fixed 3.7V nominal rail with a standard Li-ion BMS handshake. This cell matches that voltage and connector, so the charge IC recognises it without a firmware workaround.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a test rig, confirming the BMS communicates correctly with the charge IC and that protection cutoffs trigger at the expected thresholds.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter to the new cell's actual discharge curve before any high-current charging begins.

Why the MT1000 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The MT1000 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state by counting coulombs against a stored discharge curve from the original cell. When you fit a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the physical cell chemistry. The gauge reports percentages based on old data until it recalibrates. One complete discharge to auto-shutoff followed by a full charge at standard current rewrites the reference curve and restores accurate readings.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MT1000 after replacement

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under peak load — typically the modem transmitting or the screen at full brightness — faster than the fuel gauge predicts. The phone shuts down because cell voltage hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff while the gauge still shows remaining capacity. It is a calibration gap, not a faulty cell. Run two full discharge-charge cycles and the gauge will align its low-voltage threshold correctly, typically around 3.0–3.2V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

The MT1000 won't power on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few weeks — is it dead?

The BMS locks the cell out when voltage drops below roughly 2.5V during storage, cutting all output to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, usually around 2.9V, at which point the phone boots normally.

Fast charging stopped working on the MT1000 after fitting this battery — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle, the charge IC probes the new cell's impedance before negotiating any fast-charge protocol. A fresh cell shows higher impedance than a used one, so the IC drops back to standard current as a precaution. Complete one full charge at standard speed, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the IC re-probes impedance on the next session and fast charging typically resumes once it reads a value within the expected range for a fully charged cell.

The battery percentage on the MT1000 jumps around erratically — it reads 45%, drops to 12%, then climbs back up without charging.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell and has not yet built a stable discharge curve. Erratic readings are normal for the first two cycles after a cell swap. Discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard current — repeat this once more and the gauge will lock onto a consistent curve, stabilising percentage readings.
