Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo U707T / U2S / U707 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BLP553)
This is a 3.8V, 2800mAh Li-ion replacement battery carrying OEM part number BLP553. It fits the Oppo U707T, U2S, and U707 smartphones. Direct swap for a degraded or failed original cell — same voltage, same capacity, same connector footprint.
- U707T / U2S / U707 platform fit: All three models share the BLP553 form factor — same 88.05 × 55.90 × 4.60mm cell, same 3.8V nominal rail, and the same BMS connector pinout. One cell covers the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, confirming the BMS communicates correctly with the charge IC and that protection circuits trip at the expected over-discharge threshold rather than cutting out prematurely under load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter starts reporting to the OS — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings for the first several days.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. A new cell has a slightly different discharge curve than the original, so the fuel gauge IC — still calibrated to the old cell — misjudges how much usable voltage remains. When the modem or screen pulls a high-current burst, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS ever reads 0%. Running one full discharge cycle to actual cutoff, then a full charge, teaches the coulomb counter where the real floor sits and eliminates the premature shutdown.
Phone warm near the battery during the first few charges
A fresh cell typically starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. The charge IC pushes current into that higher resistance, and the extra heat is normal for the first two or three cycles. If warmth is localized to the battery compartment and fades after cycle three, nothing is wrong. If heat spreads to the rear camera area or persists past cycle five, pull the battery and check the connector seating — a misaligned pin forces the charge IC to work harder than the circuit expects.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Oppo U707T powers on but the battery percentage jumps around randomly after fitting the new BLP553 — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the U707T was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, and a new cell with a different impedance profile throws that calibration off immediately. Run one full discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference points and the percentage readout stabilises.
The U707T won't power on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation — what happened?
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if this one dropped below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent damage. The phone won't respond to the power button because the BMS is blocking output entirely. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. Once the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS wake threshold (typically around 2.8–3.0V), the phone will boot normally and charging will switch to full rate.
Fast charging stopped working on my U707T after I swapped to the BLP553 — it only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge IC sometimes falls back to standard charging because the BMS on the new cell hasn't completed its handshake with the USB-PD or VOOC protocol negotiation logic. This is not a fault — it is a one-cycle safety behaviour. Charge fully at the slow rate, discharge the phone normally to below 20%, then reconnect the charger. Fast charging resumes once the BMS has completed one full cycle and the charge IC accepts the new cell's handshake parameters.
