Babysense HD S2 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BAT-BBM-B2)

This is a 3.7V 5000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Babysense HD S2 baby monitor parent unit. It replaces OEM part BAT-BBM-B2. When the original cell degrades, the parent unit loses charge quickly or stops powering on — this battery restores full function.

• HD S2 parent unit fit: The HD S2 parent unit uses a single-cell Li-Polymer pack at 3.7V nominal. The BAT-BBM-B2 connector and BMS match the parent unit's charge circuit, so the onboard controller recognises the pack and charges it correctly.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the HD S2 parent unit's charge and discharge circuit. The BMS held cell voltage within spec and the unit's low-battery indicator triggered at the correct threshold — no false readings.
• Re-pair after installation: After replacing the battery, re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit. The HD S2 loses its wireless link when the parent unit drops power completely — the channel pairing is not stored in the battery itself, so a fresh pairing sequence is required.

Parent unit draining overnight with the HD S2

Running the HD S2 parent unit overnight with the screen active is a sustained draw on a single 3.7V Li-Polymer cell. The display, radio receiver, and speaker circuit all pull current simultaneously. Enable the screen timeout in the parent unit's settings — the radio stays active and audio alerts still fire, but display power drops to near zero.

Night vision stops working after swapping the HD S2 battery

The camera unit's IR LEDs draw a separate supply from the camera, but the parent unit must be at sufficient charge to maintain a stable radio link and trigger the camera's night mode correctly. If the new battery is not fully charged before first use, the parent unit's radio output may be low enough to cause the camera to drop out of night vision mode. Charge the parent unit to 100% — confirmed by the solid charge indicator — before mounting it and enabling night vision.
