Fits Bonoch BBM03, BBM05, and MegaView Baby Monitor 7 BBM01; replaces OEM part BAT-BBM-B2.
3.7V, 5000mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers stable voltage for audio and two-way talk functionality throughout monitoring sessions.
Connector slides into the parent unit battery slot with a single alignment tab; no locking mechanism required.
We bench-tested this cell in a BBM03 parent unit—BMS accepted the pack on insertion, voltage held steady at 3.7V under standby draw.
After battery installation, re-pair the parent unit with the baby camera unit using the sync button—wireless connection drops after a complete power loss.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bonoch BBM03 / BBM05 / MegaView BBM01 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BAT-BBM-B2)

This is a 3.7V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Bonoch BBM03, BBM05, and MegaView Baby Monitor 7 BBM01. It fits the parent unit on all three models and uses the OEM part number BAT-BBM-B2. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge between charges.

  • BBM01, BBM03, and BBM05 compatibility: All three monitors share the same parent unit chassis, battery bay dimensions (70.00 × 54.80 × 10.00mm), and 3.7V supply rail. The BMS handshake and connector type are identical across the series, so one cell covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on the BBM03 parent unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error codes, balanced correctly at full charge, and applied the expected low-voltage cutoff before the cell reached unsafe depletion.
  • Re-pair the wireless link after fitting: The BBM03 parent unit drops its pairing to the camera unit whenever it loses power completely. After fitting this battery and powering on, hold the pair button on both units until the camera feed appears on the parent screen — do not assume the link restores automatically.

Parent unit battery draining overnight on the BBM03

Running the BBM03 parent unit overnight with the screen on is a sustained high draw — the LCD backlight and 2.4GHz radio together pull the cell down faster than most users expect. The screen-on state draws significantly more current than audio-only or standby mode. Enable the screen timeout in the parent unit settings so the display cuts after a set idle period while audio monitoring continues. This alone reduces overnight draw enough to carry the unit through a full night on a healthy 5000mAh cell.

Parent unit range drops noticeably right after a battery swap

The BBM03's 2.4GHz radio transmit power is voltage-sensitive — at partial charge, the radio runs below its rated output and the effective range shrinks. This is normal behaviour and not a fault with the replacement cell. Charge the parent unit to full before judging range; at 4.2V the radio operates at full power and the listed range is achievable. If range remains short after a full charge, check for 2.4GHz interference from routers or cordless phones in the same band.

Frequently Asked Questions

The BBM03 parent unit powered on after the battery swap but the camera feed won't show — what's wrong?

The parent unit loses its stored pairing data when the battery is fully removed, so it no longer knows which camera to connect to. Hold the pair button on the camera unit first, then press the pair button on the parent unit within 30 seconds — the feed should appear once the handshake completes. This is not a fault with the battery or the camera. If pairing fails, power-cycle both units and repeat the process.

Night vision on the camera stopped working after we replaced the parent unit battery — is the IR cut off linked to battery voltage?

Night vision on the BBM03 camera unit is powered independently from the camera's own supply, not the parent unit battery — so the battery swap itself doesn't cut the IR LEDs. The more likely cause is that the camera unit was power-cycled or lost its pairing during the swap, resetting its night mode setting to off. Go into the parent unit menu, navigate to night vision settings, and switch it back to auto or on. If the IR LEDs still don't activate in a dark room, check that the camera unit itself is fully charged or on mains power.

The new battery charges to full but the parent unit shuts off mid-use rather than running down gradually — what causes that?

A sudden mid-use shutdown, rather than a gradual low-battery warning, points to the BMS tripping on a brief voltage sag — most often triggered when the screen turns on after a period of standby, which causes a momentary current spike. This can also happen if the cell was stored discharged for an extended period before fitting, leaving it in a partially recovered state. Run two full charge-discharge cycles on the parent unit using normal monitoring use; the cell voltage should stabilise and the premature shutdowns should stop after the second cycle. If the shutdowns persist after two cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a loose contact causes the same symptom.
