Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BBK Vivo X27 / X27A (V1829A, V1829) — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-G5)
The B-G5 is the OEM-matched Li-Polymer cell for the Vivo X27, X27A, V1829A, and V1829 smartphones. It runs at 3.85V with a 3900mAh (15.02Wh) capacity. If your X27 no longer holds a charge, shuts down unexpectedly, or won't power on, this cell replaces the degraded unit directly.
- V1829 / V1829A platform fit: The X27 and X27A share the V1829 board revision, which means the same BMS handshake protocol and connector pinout. Both models accept the B-G5 without modification to the flex cable or charge IC configuration.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a V1829A unit and confirmed the BMS accepted charge on the first connection, passed overvoltage and overcurrent cutoff checks, and reported cell chemistry correctly to the OS fuel gauge IC.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes load into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Vivo X27 after a cell swap
The X27 fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. After a swap, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship. Under modem or display load, the phone samples cell voltage, sees it drop below the threshold predicted by the old curve, and triggers an emergency shutdown — even though real capacity remains. One full slow-discharge cycle forces the coulomb counter to relearn the new cell's profile and eliminates the false cutoff.
USB fast charging not activating after replacement on the X27
Vivo's proprietary fast charge protocol requires the charge IC to confirm cell impedance is within an acceptable range before switching into high-current mode. A freshly installed cell with a full formation charge may present a slightly different impedance signature on the first cycle, causing the charge IC to fall back to standard 5V/1A. This is not a fault in the replacement cell. Complete one full standard charge cycle first — impedance normalises, and fast charge activates automatically on the next connection without any manual step.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Vivo X27 keeps shutting off around 25% even though the new battery shows charge — what's happening?
The fuel gauge IC on the V1829 board is still reading the discharge curve it learned from your old, degraded cell. When voltage dips under screen or modem load, the IC hits a threshold that no longer matches the new cell and forces a shutdown. Run one complete discharge down to automatic power-off, then charge fully at standard rate without fast charge enabled. After that single recalibration cycle, the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's actual curve and the false shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my X27 jumps around erratically after fitting the B-G5 — is the replacement faulty?
It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating its stored charge model against the new cell's voltage curve, and until that process completes, percentage readings will skip and fluctuate. This is a software-side recalibration, not a cell defect. Let the phone run one full discharge to auto-shutdown and then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate — once the coulomb counter has a clean reference cycle logged, the percentage display stabilises.
My Vivo X27 won't power on at all after the B-G5 sat in a drawer for months before installation — how do I recover it?
Li-Polymer cells that sit discharged in storage can drop below 2.5V, at which point the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent charging a critically depleted cell at full current. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell at a low recovery current until voltage climbs above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 3.0V, after which normal charging resumes and the phone will boot.
