Fits B.Braun Outlook 100ES, 200ES, 300ES, 400ES infusion pumps; replaces OEM part numbers FZ00435250, OM11678, B11678, MED0169, AS36320, BMED11678, MED2247, 8545, 6320.
12V 3600mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers the voltage and capacity this pump requires for full operational cycles without mid-session shutdowns.
Connector plugs directly into the battery compartment slot with positive and negative terminals aligned; locking tab seats flush against the pump housing.
We bench-tested this cell under Outlook load profile—BMS accepts charge without fault codes, discharge curve matches OEM reference, no early cutoff observed.
After installation, allow the pump to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption; Ni-MH cells need one full charge-discharge before the device firmware clears any residual battery fault flags from the previous pack.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

B.Braun Outlook 100ES / 200ES / 300ES / 400ES Safety Infusion — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (FZ00435250)

This 12V 3600mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the internal power cell in B.Braun Outlook 100ES, 200ES, 300ES, and 400ES Safety Infusion pumps. It covers eight additional Outlook ES variants using the same battery bay and connector. Capacity follows the original specification: 3600mAh / 43.2Wh.

  • Outlook ES platform compatibility: All listed Outlook ES models share the same 12V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. A single cell swap covers the full range without adapters or rewiring.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on Outlook ES hardware. The BMS accepted the cell, completed handshake verification, and flagged no chemistry mismatch — Ni-MH cell voltage curves matched what the charge IC expects.
  • Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, allow the pump to complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption. The Outlook ES runs BMS verification at startup — cutting power mid-sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Why the Outlook ES alarms low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge

The Outlook ES charge IC applies a conservative acceptance threshold tuned to aged OEM cells. A fresh Ni-MH cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile on cycle one, which the BMS can read as below the pass threshold. This is not a faulty cell. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle — the BMS recalibrates its internal reference after the first full cycle and the alarm clears on subsequent charges.

Pump will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge in storage at roughly 1–3% per day. If the cell voltage has dropped below the Outlook ES BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10.5V for a 12V Ni-MH pack — the pump will not boot. Connect the pump to mains and leave it on charge for a full uninterrupted cycle before attempting to power on. Check that the charge indicator is advancing; if it is not, verify the mains connection before assuming cell failure.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Outlook ES shows a low battery alarm straight after I put in a fully charged replacement — is the cell dead already?

It is not dead. The Outlook ES charge IC is calibrated against the internal resistance profile of an aged OEM cell, and a fresh Ni-MH cell reads differently on the first cycle. The BMS interprets this as a marginal charge state and trips the alarm. Run one full charge-discharge cycle on the pump — the BMS resets its reference point after cycle one and the alarm will not return.

The pump completes its boot sequence but shuts off unexpectedly during use within the first few days — what is happening?

New Ni-MH cells deliver their rated capacity but take roughly 10 cycles to stabilise under load. The Outlook ES runs a demanding load profile that stresses fresh cells harder than a conditioned pack — voltage sag under that load can briefly dip below the BMS cutoff threshold, triggering an unexpected shutdown. Continue normal charge-discharge cycling; sag reduces as the cell conditions, and shutdowns stop within the first 10 cycles.

The charge indicator on the Outlook ES never reaches 100% on the first charge with this new battery — should I be concerned?

No. The Outlook ES charge IC applies a conservative current limit on cells it has not yet profiled, so the first charge cycle often terminates early at 90–95% indicated. This is the charge controller being cautious, not a capacity shortfall. Run a second full charge cycle from a depleted state and the indicator will reach 100% once the controller has logged the cell's full charge acceptance curve.
