Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bionet BM7Vet Main / Pro / DEP0400096 — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BN160304BM-BAT-6)
This is a 10.8V 6800mAh (73.44Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Bionet BM7Vet Main, BM7Vet Pro, and BM7Vet DEP0400096 veterinary patient monitors. It replaces OEM part BN160304BM-BAT-6 directly. These monitors track heart rate, SpO2, blood pressure, and other vitals in clinical and field veterinary settings.
- BM7Vet platform compatibility: The Main, Pro, and DEP0400096 variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One battery specification covers all three.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a BM7Vet-class monitor. The BMS completed its verification handshake cleanly, and the unit held stable voltage across the full monitoring load profile — no mid-session cutoffs detected.
- Post-swap startup protocol: After installing this battery, let the monitor complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. Medical-grade BMS firmware runs a chemistry verification at boot. Interrupting that sequence logs a false battery fault that persists until the next full cold reboot.
BM7Vet not completing boot sequence after battery swap
The BM7Vet runs a BMS learn cycle during its first several charge-discharge passes on a new cell. Until that cycle completes, the monitor's firmware may treat the new battery as unverified and halt mid-boot as a protective measure. This is not a fault with the cell itself — it reflects how the device validates cell chemistry against stored OEM thresholds. To clear it, run one full charge to 100%, then allow the device to discharge under normal monitoring use before recharging. The boot sequence stabilises after that conditioning pass.
Charge indicator stuck below 100% after first full charge
On first charge, the BM7Vet's charge IC applies a conservative current ceiling to an unrecognised cell, which causes the charge bar to plateau before reaching 100%. This is the IC protecting itself — not a capacity defect. The cell is holding more charge than the indicator shows at this stage. Run the device through one full use cycle and recharge completely; the charge IC recalibrates its endpoint voltage on the second cycle, and the indicator reads accurately from that point forward.

Frequently Asked Questions
The BM7Vet is showing a low battery alarm immediately after I charged the new battery all the way up — why?
The alarm threshold on BM7Vet monitors is calibrated against OEM cell chemistry signatures. A new replacement cell has not yet completed the BMS learn cycle, so the monitor reads the battery state conservatively and triggers the low battery threshold even when the cell is near full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle before clinical use. After that conditioning pass, the BMS recalibrates and the alarm clears.
The monitor won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in the box for a few months before installation — is it dead?
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the cell drops below approximately 2.5V per cell (7.5V total at pack level), the BMS enters deep-discharge lockout to prevent damage. The monitor won't power on because the BMS is blocking output, not because the cell is failed. Connect the charger and leave it for a minimum of two hours without attempting to power the device on — the charge IC will recover the cell voltage slowly until the BMS releases the lockout, typically once pack voltage climbs above 9V.
The BM7Vet is shutting off unexpectedly mid-examination — it's not showing a low battery warning before it cuts out.
New cells in the first ten cycles have slightly higher internal resistance than a conditioned cell, which causes a sharper voltage sag under the monitor's peak load draws — SpO2 and NIBP together pull the hardest. That voltage sag can briefly dip below the BMS cutoff threshold before the indicator has time to display a warning, triggering an abrupt shutdown. This behaviour reduces significantly after ten full charge-discharge cycles as the cell's internal resistance stabilises. If shutdowns continue beyond ten cycles, check that the battery contacts in the bay are clean and making full contact before escalating further.
