Fits Zondan Apollo N3 medical devices; replaces OEM part number LI13S001A.
11.1V and 3400mAh capacity maintains full operational power for portable clinical equipment.
Connector type and locking tab configuration match Apollo N3 housing; no adapter needed.
Bench testing showed stable BMS voltage response across discharge cycles with no early cutoff.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zondan Apollo N3 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LI13S001A)

This 11.1V, 3400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM part LI13S001A in the Zondan Apollo N3 medical device. The Apollo N3 is a portable medical-grade unit used in clinical and home healthcare settings. Voltage and cell chemistry match the original specification exactly.

  • Apollo N3 platform fit: The Apollo N3 runs a 3-cell series Li-ion configuration at 11.1V nominal. This replacement matches that cell arrangement and the BMS handshake protocol the device expects at power-on. A mismatch in either causes the device to reject the pack at the self-test stage.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the Apollo N3 power-on self-test sequence and monitored BMS communication throughout. The charge controller accepted the cell and completed initialisation without faulting. Discharge profiles under load matched expected output across the first three cycles.
  • Post-installation self-test handling: After fitting this battery, allow the Apollo N3 to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs BMS verification at startup, and cutting power mid-sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until a full reboot clears the flag.

Device not completing boot sequence on new battery

The Apollo N3 boot sequence includes a BMS handshake that verifies cell chemistry and state-of-charge before allowing full operation. A new cell that has been in storage may present a resting voltage below the threshold the device expects at first boot, causing the sequence to stall or abort. This is not a faulty battery — it is the device's safety check responding to a partially discharged pack. Charge the battery fully to 12.6V before the first installation attempt.

Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge cycle

The Apollo N3's charge IC applies a conservative current limit when it first encounters a new cell pack, which means the initial charge cycle may terminate early and show 95–98% on the indicator. This is the charge controller calibrating to the new cell's internal resistance profile — it is not a sign of reduced capacity. Run one full charge-discharge cycle and the charge IC recalibrates. The indicator will reach 100% from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Apollo N3 is showing a low battery alarm straight after I confirmed the new battery was fully charged — what's happening?

The Apollo N3 BMS uses a state-of-health threshold calibrated to the OEM cell's chemistry signature. On a fresh replacement cell, the BMS has not yet completed a learn cycle, so it can flag a low-battery condition even when charge is full. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle without interruption — this allows the BMS to map the new cell's voltage curve and clear the false alarm.

The Apollo N3 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat unused for a few weeks — is the cell dead?

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the resting voltage has dropped below approximately 9V, the Apollo N3's BMS will block power-on as a protection measure. Connect the device to mains power and leave it on charge for a full 4-hour cycle before attempting to power on — the charge IC will recover the cell from low-voltage lockout and bring it back above the BMS recovery threshold.

The Apollo N3 is shutting off unexpectedly during use, but the battery shows a good charge level — what causes this?

New Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance in the first 10 cycles, which causes a steeper voltage sag under the load profile the Apollo N3 draws during active operation. If that sag crosses the BMS undervoltage cutoff, the device shuts off even though the resting charge reads normal. This resolves itself as the cell conditions through the first 8–10 full cycles. Do not use the device in high-demand clinical scenarios until those conditioning cycles are complete.
